Regarding The Colonial Remnant, =CR=

Four sleeper ships arrived in the Sirius Sector with the intention to rebuild, revitalize, and reconstruct what was lost when the dreaded Coalition took apart our nations. These four sleeper ships were the Liberty, the Bretonia, the Rheinland, and the Kusari. The nations that arose from the ashes were christened after these ships, and these nations became prosperous and great.

Tensions have risen between us, and they even rise between us and threaten to split us apart today, but we are still one, for we come from the same origins.

Whether it be the Nomad invasion several years ago, or the Colonials of Kobol, we have hosted a number of guests, welcome and unwelcome.

Today, the Houses of Kobol, specifically the Colonial Remnant have made themselves very unwelcome in Bretonia space.

In the past month, there have been cases where Colonial Remnant(=CR=) tagged ships have made various trips through Bretonia space carrying vast quantities of artifacts, and in turn, assisting the Corsair threat against Bretonia. Other =CR= ships, though excercising a level of respect for BPA officers noted in system communications that they could simply "blow" our men away. More recently, the =CR=Varsovia has violated the Nomad Transportation Policies in Bretonia, a favour that our great Queen has bestowed upon the academic minds of Cambridge and the traders of Sirius.

The Colonial Remnant and her allies have been tolerated in the Sirius Sector, but they have been tolerated long enough.

Not only has the BPA been the victims of such blatant disrespect and disregard, but our allies, the Libertonians have been such victims as well. From violating their restricted zones, smuggling, and moving through Liberty with a large, military force unannounced, the Colonial Remnant has continually shown an utter contempt and disrespect for the laws of the Houses of Sirius.

In addition, the BPA extends this modest petition to the Liberty Navy and LPI. As both our great nations have been grieved due to these factors, we humbly ask that you join with us, and support this proposal. Alone, we are weak, united we are strong. Let this alliance against a common force be a rallying point for the greater benefit of both our nations.

In Bretonia, Colonial Remnant, you are no longer welcome. From this point on, any ship wearing the =CR= are to be marked UNFRIENDLY. Once seen, you will be asked to leave, or you will be fired upon. Perhaps, this will teach you to respect your host's home from now on.

Should this blatant disregard of our factions policies continue, the BPA may be forced to give the order to terminate all CR ships with extreme prejudice. Your actions are posing a threat to the general public of Bretonia, and your aiding of our enemies is posing a threat to our nation.

While in transit in the Dublin system Michael Gideon is surfing the general public access channels for Bretonian System broadcasts and comes across the above bulleten. He listens to a debonare news man recite the public notice transmitted from New Scotland Yard. Tuning out the ensuing banal commentary he stops to think to himself:

At least now they acknowledge us publicly...perhaps the truths Sinclair can reveal about our histories will change a few paradigms around here. 'Extreme Prejudice,' thats nothing new. I remember getting stopped at the door to restraunts on Cambridge when they found out who we really were. And after so many Colonial deaths from the Corsairs...the Gaians...the Phantoms...extreme prejudice seems a small price to pay for the truth.

Gideon turns off the viewer and opens a channel to Colonial Fleet headquarters...just incase they were watching the news today.
Reggie Waverly watched the broadcast from a small, quiet bar on South Shields Refinery. While not surprising, the Bretonian declaration was troubling.

His own unique mission could possibly be compromised by this announcement. While there were several IMG miners currently on South Shields with the necessary skill set and credentials, Reggie had hoped for the arrival of two "specialists" from Tau 44. He would have to contact Michael over secure comms to see if that arrival would be postponed, or even cancelled.

Either way, he would have to make do. His faithful whale had been exchanged for a small but serviceable Kushan Freighter at Shasta Outpost, in the hopes that the small craft would attract less attention from the Bretonian military and police. His mission would not require a large ship.. no sense in wasting resources.

Reggie rose, paid his tab, and headed for the docking area. He would contact the Gemenon Traveller from his ship, using FnordNet. Even in the remote reaches of Newcastle, regular transmissions were monitored.

Time was growing short.
President Abelard was sitting in his office when clerk entered the room.

- Sir we just received this over the secure comms.

Abelard took the report and read it without any word. Clerk was still standing near his desk when he finished reading.

- Sir, you wish me to send them an answer?

- Yes. Inform Gideon that he must continue as planned. Our operation must not be interrupted. If anybody shows hostiliy toward our vessels we will respond. Untill then asign to each trader two viper escorts. Also, bring me full report of our fleet's battle readines...To BPA don't respond anything.

- Yes sir.

- Oh..i forgot...ask Varsovia's captain to join me for lunch once he returns from his mission.
An aide runs quckly into the office...

"Sir! With your permission!"

"What is it O'Leary?"

"Sir, read this!"

The aide hands the Co-Consul an intelligence dispatch regarding Bretonia's most recent move.

"This is good news indeed lad, they already have their hands full enough as it is. Very well, I will forward this information to Consul Hyperion and Admiral Puck without delay. He will be very interested to hear of this. Any colonials spotted in Dublin are to be treated with respect, assistance in the Dublin system is granted. More orders will come soon. We'll be watching this situation very closely."

"Sir, Yes Sir!"

The aide snaps a salute and exits the office. The officer stares at the dispatch sitting on his desk, thinking to himself.

"This could explode...we need to tread very carefully here."
A quiet, muffled "bing" echoed in the room.

An older, nearly bald man wearing a neat moustache as white as the few hairs that avoided the top of his head pushed a button on the holophone panel at the upper corner of his desk. "What is it?"

"Mr. Carlyle, William Sheppard is waiting for you outside," said a feminine voice over the channel.

"Ah, Bill Sheppard," said Carlyle, "Send him in."

The door of Carlyle's spacious office slid open. A taller man who still possessed most of his hair, though graying, entered the office.

"Shepp, have a seat mate," said Carlyle. Carlyle gestured at the seat in front of his desk.

"Thank you, Baron," said Sheppard, sitting down. "You wanted to speak to me?"

"Shepp, we're friends. No need for the formalities here," laughed Carlyle, "and yes, the current Colonial situation."

"Sir?" asked Sheppard cautiously.

"The colonial situation," said Carlyle, "is worrisome. It'll make me lose a few more gray hairs at most. But the fact that they have violated our Nomad laws. I want the SRD to make sure that not one colonial enters Bretonia space."

"Sir, is that necessary?" asked Sheppard.

"We may be uncorruptible and liberal, Mr. Sheppard," said Carlyle, looking down at a several papers on his desk, "but that does not mean that we cannot be without ruth."

Sheppard nodded. "The message shall be forwarded to Lauderdale."

Carlyle smiled. "I know you'll do fine, Shepp."
Sitting back in the bar on Sheffield Station, Jurir slowly smiled as the news crossed the screen from the BPA.
It seems like they have finally had enough he thought to himself as he finished reading the article. Personally Jurir found artifact smuggling disgusting, especially when it helped Corsair scum. Paying his tab at the bar, the Mandalorian got up and headed over to the docking station.

Getting the news to the Counsul's was the first step he needed to take. Just maybe...he thought as he finished undocking from the station. Plotting his course, the mercenary headed to base for now, hoping that they could make something good of this for themselves. True BPA was not a client of there's nor was the Colonials a marked enemy, but what they were doing angered him. Maybe the BPA could be shown how helpful the M's had been with Liberty Security Forces. A new contract and a license to engage always made the day a bright one, even in the darkest regions of space. Jurir switched his comm channel on and radioed into base; time was now of the essence.
Fisk was sitting in his quarters and watching the news

What the...

Sir! we have comms from Colonial One

Greeeat, i assume they want to lynch me again?

no sir, The president is inviting you to a lunc aboard his liner.

/silence/

But wait... /Fisk started serious brainstorming/

/First it's those eggheads on cambridge asking for clean, unverified samples, then it's that BPA snitch at my NAV table, finally the pilot taking the wrong turn straight into police hands? Something just doesn't add up/

If Vlad wants to award me for running those jellys, let him. It'll at least look better. Oh well, maybe it was just another police action that almost messed the operation up.

Ensign, please send the president a message, that i agree and will show up in tau-44 in a few days.

Yes sir, anything else?

yes, give me some of that loco weed you're still grwing in the engine room.
