Two Armoured transports move into orbit, with a full fighter escort, and a Fearless destroyer stood in orbit of Shasta outpost. Aboard the [TAZ]Malaclypse, the Episkopos of the TAZ opened two comm screens in his private cabin:

Comm. logs:
[20:57] Malaclypse: Ah! Greetings, are all delegates present?
[20:57] Transport-L10: NovaPG delegate present,
[20:58] Tradeship Kuraine: The delegate for the sisterhood is here, proceed.
[20:59] Malaclypse: Brilliant, well, Ive got everything set out in my office; refreshments on the house as usual, shall we proceed?

Both transports moored, and a small shuttle launched from the destroyer and docked on the station.

In the docking bay, the two ships settled, the passengers exited, onboard were Asai Takao; Security officer for the NovaPG, and the Leader of the [GC] sisterhood, Ai Takeda. Takeda was sent to negotiate a peace treaty after the traitorous actions of Kakujin destabilised relationships between their two factions. Malaclypse escorted the man and woman to his private office on the top level of the Outpost, offerred them tea and cakes, and began his task.

Resume logs:

[21:09] Malaclypse: Well, have the issues with Kakujin been sorted out?
[21:10] Ai Takeda: Yes, she has been expelled from the wider GC community,
[21:11] Asai Takao: Unacceptable the NovaPG demands that the GC sisterhood membership consists of ALL members of the GC movement to ensure that the traitors can be dealt with even swifter efficiency than now; we can't have any more of these incidents..!
[21:13] Ai Takeda: I agree that these incidents must be prevented wherever possible, but what you are suggesting is entirely impractical! I can assure you that no [GC] will betray either the Golden Chrysanthemums or the Blood Dragons, or indeed even the Outcasts.
[21:13] Ai Takeda: but it is impractical to suggest we try to get even independents under our banner. We will not speak for the Independents and they shall not speak for us. More than that, I do not think we can do.
[21:15] Asai Takao: This action would improve the [GC] tenfold.

Not a promising beginning, in Mal's opinion. He knew it would be impossible for Takeda to monitor all those flying the Stone Sisters' banner, let alone coerce them into joining her organization. But, he held his comments as the proceedings continued.

[21:19] Ai Takeda: The Golden Chrysanthemums also desire considerable reform in Kusari. Our primary goal, as you have no doubt known for centuries, is equal rights for women in House Kusari. I feel this is only fair, and we demand nothing less!
[21:21] Asai Takao: Excuse me, Such as what? We have promised that we would give you the vote on important matters, even, advisors, more freedom, what more could you wish for...?!
[21:22] Ai Takeda: Look at Liberty! Recently they even had a female president! Yes they are Gaijin, but women are held to the same regard as men! We demand as such in Kusari
[21:27] Asai Takao: Liberty...? It is more corrupt than Samura! They arrest the poor! Jacobi has done nothing but cause problems for Liberty. Is this the kind of Shogunate you want to set up?

Mal was very tempted to point out that the current Emperor of Kusari was no more than an aging, womanizing figurehead. He knew from his sources that the real power in Kusari was every bit as feminine as the [GC] representative, and that she was probably sympathetic to the plight of the Chrysanthemums.

[21:30] Asai Takao: The bigger problem is the over-use of Cardamine! The Outcasts are infecting the whole GC with their horrible curse! We can't presume that this drug is doing any good for them! The affects have already been seen in several of the GC, if they go without Cardamine for over 2hours they fall comatose! This is NOT healthy for Kusari.
[21:31] Ai Takeda: This drug has many beneficial uses! Notice how fewer illnesses any of us suffer! Our wounds, even serious ones, heal faster! We even live considerably longer! Yes, it is an addictive substance, but look at how many successful infiltrators Kusari has in our organization as a result! None! Ever!
[21:31] Ai Takeda: We always send them back in a body bag
[21:33] Ai Takeda: And in regards to the Shogunate, while there are many poor qualities to Liberty, we only wish that us women are seen in the same light as men, and not oppressed or mistreated as often happens currently. The vote is a good step in that direction and we applaud it, but we will require more. However, I believe that for now we should perhaps leave this for the future, until our victory has been achieved. But do not forget, the Golden Chrysanthemums will not give up our fight for freedom from oppression of women.
[21:36] Asai Takao: We know, we are already offering a significant improvement from current day, you must remember this. Today, the average Kusari woman can't even work! She is forced to stay at home to perform housework, marriage can be forced upon them, and we offer to get rid of the more oppressive aspects of life for you. Dare you deny this is true?
[21:38] Ai Takeda: We do not, and we appreciate these concessions. They will go a long way to addressing the issues we strive for.

[21:39] Malaclypse: Glad we are agreed on this matter... Now... we must discuss other matters, it is clear reaching a full conclusion on this will take far too much time, and Im fairly sure we would run out of snacks by then
[21:40] Asai Takao: Hmmm... Agreed... would the GC wish to say anything?
[21:44] Ai Takeda: We would like to obtain access to certain ship and weapons transfers, namely that of the Blood Dragons. They would greatly aid our cause. In exchange, we offer our own weapons and access to our ship suppliers
[21:44] Ai Takeda: Notably those of the civilian lines, such as the Eagle, Griffin and suchlike, we have a much cheaper and more reliable source of these vessels,
[21:45] Asai Takao: Hmm... Well, we don't like the idea of sharing our ship designs too much... we would need a few guarantees from the GC if such a deal was to occur
[21:46] Asai Takao: The GC classifies these designs to the same level as we do, nobody is allowed access to the plans, except trusted blood dragon and GC engineers,
[21:47] Asai Takao: the ships will not be disturbed by the GC to anybody,
[21:47] Asai Takao: and the GC will register every ship they purchase, and where it is positioned.

[21:47] Ai Takeda: We can completely agree to these terms entirely. The sisterhood would not wish to see these magnificent ships fall into the hands of anyone else, either.
[21:49] Asai Takao: Good... Well, on this we are agreed, on territories; we wish more GC assistance on preventing advances on the Chugoku gate construction site, it is possibly the biggest thread the Dragon cause has known.
[21:49] Ai Takeda: Agreed, the construction site poses as much a threat to us as to you, and work on it should be delayed or halted indefinitely if we can possibly do this.
[21:51] Asai Takao: Also, due to the higher level of experience the GC pilots possess of piloting the "Griffin", we request we could position our first wing onto Ainu depot to fly alongside the GC to gain practice at this new type of vessel,
[21:52] Ai Takeda: I have no objections to this, you are certainly welcome on stationing it at Ainu
[21:53] Asai Takao: Also, we request that the "GMG" be left alone; the Blood Dragons receive a large portion of funding from this faction,
[21:54] Ai Takeda: I am less certain on that request. The GMG harass our Outcast friends considerably, making the supply lines unreliable. But we will try to maintain a more neutral stance.

[21:56] Malaclypse: Well, it seems we've all but finished anything else to add from either side?
[21:58] Ai Takeda: Nothing further to add I believe, good sir. I think the Golden Chrysanthemums are satisfied with this treaty.
[21:58] Malaclypse: All that is left to do is to sign the dotted line.
[21:59] Asai Takao: Indeed, sensei should be satisfied with this treaty,
*takes the pen, pulls the treaty towards him, and signs it. He then pulls out a device from under his coat, takes a scan of the treaty, to document its existence*
[22:00] Ai Takeda: I sign this treaty on behalf of the Golden Chrysanthemum *leans over and takes up the pen and signs the treaty*

Asai Takao and Ai Takeda then both returned to their transports, which left Shasta station, heading back home.

Malaclypse watched through his office viewport as the two transports receded towards the Tau 29 jump hole. It was a beginning. He had been allowed to retain a copy of the proceedings, and of the Treaty agreed upon today. He found it ironic that not six months ago, he was involved deeply with the KNF. "The Fool" had finally divorced himself from the Empire and the Naval Forces, in order to focus on his own Faction and agenda.

And now, here he was, mediating treaties between groups which he had previously considered as enemies. The Chao required balancing, and sometimes it made for strange bedfellows.

Malaclypse sat down, and reviewed the terms of the Treaty he had just facilitated.

------------

Basic Terms of the treaty:

GMG ships will not be attacked by the [GC];

NovaPG and [GC] will share technology, (with conditions specified);

The [GC] will assist the Blood Dragons with delaying the construction of the Hokkaido Chugoku jumpgate;

The NovaPG will station a small wing of Light Fighters on Ainu Depot to receive full training for the Griffin light fighter.
