Constable Stirling here. I'm investigating an assault that occurred on the 27th of this month, standard time, and it's come to my attention that you were hired as an escort for one of the participants. Namely, a vessel going by the transponder ID Bowex)Wolfe. From the reports I've received, Mr Moreland (Captain of the Wolfe) was fired upon by Mr Scott MacFarlane (Captain of the Bowex)BES.Bonny.Lass).

In short, Mr Ryo-. Oh bugger it, Ozei, I'd like to hear your version of events, including what happened prior to and immediately following the attack. Any further evidence you could submit to the case in the form of logs or footage would be very welcome.

First off, allow me to assist you with pronouncing my name properly. *Grins widely*

Now that this evening's grammar lesson is concluded, on to the matter at hand.

I can without a doubt confirm the fact that I escorted the vessels Wolfe, BES.Bonny.Lass, and Smith - all flying under the Bowex) banner. The captain of the Bonny.Lass, Mister MacFarlane, was actually the one who inquired as to if I wished to escort them, upon which, I happily accepted.

Now as far as this acclaimed assault case goes, I can neither confirm nor deny the act of Mister MacFarlane assaulting Mister Moreland at this time. However, I can say that Mister Moreland was acting rather crazy about the alleged assault, being so brash as to state that Mister MacFarlane would be thrown into prison for his actions. Again however, I cannot confirm nor deny that..

On the subject of message logs or footage: I am afraid I do not record everything I do. However, I did take this one snapshot, which may prove that I indeed escorted the vessels in question on the date stated.

Interestingly enough, the single footage shot/message log recording I have is dated as the 29th of this month, perhaps suggesting that I was not a part of their convoy when the alleged assault occurred.

I really cannot say much more on this, as the captain of the Wolfe, Mister Moreland, sped ahead of the rest of the convoy, which not only disallowed myself the opportunity for possible evidence, but also prevented me from doing my job correctly. As I have said, however, the date you have given and the date that I have in my own logs contradict one another, which could mean that someone else was escorting the bunch when this whole controversy occurred.

I do hope this clears things up a bit. If not, then accept my apologies...

My apologies for the late response Mr Ruousha.

There was something of a difficulty with the digital systems on our end. Probably something to do with Nathan cycling all the computers back a few centuries (Thus the date inconsistency, I'm afraid. The 29th was the date being referred to.). In any case, I'm told that's been resolved now, so moving on.

Firstly; thank you for your contribution thus far, you've been most helpful. However; I must ask, are you absolutely certain that you didn't see anything? I've obtained records indicating that you were at least present as a witness. Perhaps it slipped your mind.

When you address 'your employer' in the above transcript, would you be referring to Mr MacFarlane or the Bowex convoy as a whole?

Quite alright that you took so long to respond. That happens sometimes with all these clouds reducing the effectiveness of on-board ship radars. At times, it can also interfere with transmission relays.

Moving on, though, I do vaguely recall saying something along the lines of my employer taking some sort of heat. However, I cannot exactly remember as to what I was reacting to, as it has been a number of days since I escorted that convoy. As well, there have been a few incidents which have... Well, let us just say they have been enough to set me a bit on-edge lately and make me lose focus on more pressing matters. It concerns the Naval Forces, in case you were wondering, so it has little to do with this case, if anything.

Now, when I refer to "my employer," I am fairly certain I am referring to Bowex as a whole, as opposed to Mister MacFarlane. On another note, I do remember that Mister Moreland was complaining rather consistently about someone having shot at him.

Dealing with the groups of people that I do (Namely the Sisterhood of Kusari, and related groups), I made the suggestion that he should shoot back at whatever had shot at him. I suppose it was a rather barbaric remark, given that it was a Bretonian shipping firm I was escorting. Still though, if I were being shot at, I would be more than inclined to defend myself and shoot right back.

Other than that, I am afraid I am not really one to ask for very many details on this matter. Perhaps you could try asking the third person I was escorting, the captain of the Bowex)Smith? Certainly he must know something on this matter?
