Vates

What is to come is not set in stone, nor what has been.
To see both, you must see yourself.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The future of Sirius is not known to any one man or woman.
It's a mystery that no one could truly grasp, for if they could, they would know all and become more than a simple man or woman.

Yet are we not all more than a simple man or woman?

Drifting through the realm of the stars, living for numberless decades, destined to change the course of history.

These are not the actions of a simple man or woman.
These are not the actions of those who share the genes of a chimp.
These are the actions of people.
More than human, people have the skills that you use now to read this and comprehend it.
Nature has a place for us all in it's great worlds.
Humans can hunt and forage.
People can thrive and grow greater.
People, not humans, have a place in the realm of the stars.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time.
Does it only go one way?
Is the past as flexible as the future?
As you travel through time, you can alter the future. Do you alter the past as you alter the future?

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Vates.
More than simple.
The exact history of the Vates is unknown, oddly fitting for such a group.
Sketchy facts and dodgy rumours have the group appearing sometime around 673 A.S. in Rheinland. According to the rumours, they were popular in the slums of New Berlin but had been elsewhere previously.
No more mention of the group appears for another 56 years, by which time the slum in New Berlin had been demolished and built upon. This appearance was on Leeds, among the factory workers.
Little information is available about what they did, other than apparently predicting the future. The rumours fail to mention if their predictions were accurate.
The group once again disappeared within a decade. The lack of media coverage and an aversion to networked technology has left the group with little known history, at least for outsiders.
Quiet for over a century, the group has surfaced again in 818 A.S.
Unlike the previous occurrences, the Vates are spacebourne.
Some say they are simply moving to a new home and will soon settle down again.
Others fear they have seen the future of the entirety of Sirius and wish to leave before it occurs, whatever might happen.

For now, little is known about the groups intentions and goals.

====================================================================================

The Vates are those that can guess at the future of Sirius.
How? Who knows.
Will it happen? Maybe.
Can you trust them? Find out.

Ask the Vates a question and they may answer you with a potential future.
If you can understand the answer, that's another question.
Comm channel questions are preferred.
Usually means less gunfire.
Vates, when will I next eat a taco?
In the future.
Unless you don't.

If ye fancy asking the Vates a question, from your character, do eet in the comm channel.
Uhh, my head hurts, though I don't say it was bad to read but somehow it's a little bit meager for a faction/group descirption.
Hard to list diplomacy etc when there is none.
I'll do some more work on the post anyway.
Danke for the thoughts.
