Born to a wealthy family on planet Los Angeles in the late 8th century, Jonathan Hill - who now calls himself Jon Lucky - had an unremarkable youth. He was a wild, adventurous child: educated as well as the next person, and often described as a charming lad from young age. It is believed that Hill may have been coddled excessively as a child, which could have led to his later career in piracy. This in unconfirmed however. What is clear, is that by the timer Hill was a teenager, he was spending hundreds of thousands of credits on a regular basis, and was on one occasion arrested for suspected drug use. He was released on bail the next day, and never convicted due to a lack of evidence.

At some point during his teenage years, he came into contact with an Outcast group. Records indicate that he assisted in the smuggling of large amounts of Cardamine, and became addicted to it himself as well. He was also frequently seen in casinos, bars and night clubs. Eventually, Hill dropped out of his education altogether, buying a ship with his parents' money. Interviews with Hill's parents suggest that they believe he is currently working as a Freelancer, refusing to believe allegations of piracy.

In truth, Hill is currently working as an independent pirate, frequently robbing transports - even gambling with willing transport captains. He has been seen in both Liberty and Bretonia repeatedly, seeming to travel wherever the money is at. He is often described as cautious - a minor criminal, preferring to avoid excessive danger when possible.
