- Station History -

[color=#FFFFFF]Freeport 1 was built in 738 A.S., by a group of vagrants, wanderers and social outcasts that had left territories of the Houses in order to live beyond the rules and regulations enforced in the core systems. It was constructed over 60 years ago, and it quickly gained popularity with the criminals, outlaws and others of a dubious disposition as a place to easily obtain supplies and repair their ships. Most of the criminals who once visited Freeport 1 tended to be members of the Mollys or the Corsairs, although the occasional Red Hessian and Gaian were once seen onboard.
Over time, however, Freeport 1 has grown, with new cargo modules and habitation decks being constructed until the Freeport was barely recognisable from the small platform it started out as. Small ships are known to be constructed here, sold to both freelancers, mercenaries and other zoners, and although Bretonia has made irritated noises towards the Freeport, they have as yet left it alone - with the signing of the Freeport 1 Treaty, Bretonia and the citizens of Freeport 1 entered into a more formal arrangement that led to the majority of the criminal elements becoming absent from the station.
Previously, Freeport 1 was once the home of the movement of Zoners known as "Privus" led by "The Patriarch." the Privus, close knit family oriented Zoners, were responsible for removing the last vestiges of the criminal hold over Freeport 1, ensuring the safety of its citizens to live their lives in peace.

Over time, Freeport 1 has grown. Where once the station housed maybe 300 souls, its population has ballooned to over four thousand. Today, it is defended by its ever growing population, in the hopes that Freeport One continue to server as a model of what the freeport should be - a station open to all, for all to use in peace."

- Station Policies -

[color=#3366FF]One
- For the good of the citizenry, and to keep harm to a minimum, no personal firearms are allowed on the station, unless approved by the station administrator. Such items must be kept within any docked vessel, in the case of station visitors, or can be turned into a militia security post for safe-keeping.

Two - The trade of illicit items must be kept to the docking bays. No items of less than completely legal means will move to the general population, assuming it is for sale. Contraband for use by the population can not be regulated by the stations militia security - Station policies do not regulate what is considered contraband except under Omega 3 \ Bretonian Law. Keep contraband to a minimum, or acquire the proper licenses for it. If it is illegal, we ask you do not trade the contraband on our station.

Three - This station will not, under any circumstance, abide by the selling or bartering of slaves, dangerous non-human life forms such as nomads, or potential threats to the station, such as nuclear devices. If you want to trade or sell such items, do it elsewhere.

Four - No Fire Zone - The NFZ covers a 5k sphere around the station, and while in that sphere, the shooting, taxing, or pirating of any vessel, is prohibited. Any vessels, actively supplying the station are also subject to the NFZ, and as such, can not be the victims of taxing or pirating. Any vessel willing to respect the NFZ, is free to come and dock on the station, and be welcome by Freeport One's hospitality.
Vessels that choose to disregard the NFZ, will be given ONE WARNING to remove themselves beyond the 5k Sphere. Refusal to do so will result in action by [FP1] Tagged vessels to remove the offender, by force if necessary. Vessels fleeing from hostile action are asked not to shelter around the NFZ, as such an action will be seen as endangering the station. Said vessels are asked to take themselves out from around the station, and to cooperate with any demands, lest they become an explosive cloud of fragmenting debris, courtesy of our defense force. Our primary concern is the station and its inhabitants, as such, this NFZ policy goes to safeguard our population, our station, and our freedom.

Five - <strike>For the duration of the border skirmish between the houses of Rheinland and Bretonia - no military vessel of either house, including allies or paramilitary forces of either house, is allowed within 5k of the Station, except under specific peaceful envoy, and the stations defense force, made aware of before hand - any military vessel not adhering to requests from [FP1] Tagged vessels while within the 5k sphere, will be given a warning to remove themselves, then will be removed by force.</strike>
>>REDIRECT<<

Six - Any and all peaceful vessels are allowed docking access, to partake of our station's amenities, or repair their vessels, or refill their vessels consumables. We ask all vessels partaking of our station to abide by our posted rules, listen to the directives of our militia security, and keep disturbances to a minimum. Barfights are ok. Gunfights are not. Murder is not. those wishing a prolonged stay can partake of our hotels, and those wishing a permanent stay, please contact our housing and planning board.

This is an advisement to all security staff. Please report acts of piracy that you note. I took an unmarked snubcraft on a tour of Omega 3 today and encountered an Rheinland transport ship with severely damaged hull with plasma burn marks. His flight recorder malfunctioned and was unable to provide imaging of the attacks, but he was bringing supplies for the Rheinlanders aboard the station.

Please keep an eye out and notify security services of any unusual activity.

Escorted one of our new Herons, "The Sirius Business" skipper'd by Jack Burton, on a food delivery to Planet Crete. We encountered no hostilities, and thankfully, no piracy. Made our full burst transmission announcement to the Gamma system, was challenged by a Corsair bomber about our presence, and everything went smoothly.

Guncam footage below, collected from the Francisco.

Freeport One docking control detected weapons fire outside the station, and the tactical officers on board the Unyielding Spirit confirmed it.
Targets were identified as several civilian bombers, all named something beginning with "Ghost~Of" - in the middle of a combat action with an IMG defense picket from Alland Shipyard. Apparently the IMG had a major operation in Omega 7 and had to cut there losses after dealing with a significant Corsair and Pirate presence.

The fight was within 4.2 Klicks of the station, so I sounded General Quarters, and issued all-frequency warnings for them to vacate the exclusion zone. Surprisingly, they promptly did so, and shifted there firefight out beyond five klicks. As much as we wanted to help the last IMG fighter, our RoE was clear, and we did not engage. It called no joy regardless and made for safe port at Alland.

The pirates then turned to us, and there leader requested private communication frequencies. He was very polite and apologetic about the misunderstanding. I cant tell if that was because he truly was, or because he was staring down the barrel of Dimitrov's Siege Cruiser. Either way, they paid us a tribute of 1.7 Million credits, a package of 60+ Uncut Diamonds, and two guns (An LT41 Reaver Turret & PB91 Buckshot cannon). Transferred the payment to the stations account, sent the guns down to Shaw for his shop, and sent the diamonds to Genine's office.

End report.

Good news everyone.

We recently concluded a deal with the Gas Miners Guild and procured four Karasu Heavy Fighters and four Kaichou bombers. These are to be used for the defense force, and escort services should our hauling corps need it.
They do come with some strings - In the unlikely event that the GMG Paramilitary violates the NFZ or breaks station laws, I expect Documentation of the event. It most likely wont happen, but regardless, its better to be safe.

Aaannnnddd....best way to do that, is to start documenting EVERY encounter in whish weapons were fired. So, starting today, I expect posted guncam footage and comm logs posted from EVERY NFZ enforcement.

(// paste -logchattime -logchat - logappend into the command line of the shortcut for Frelancer, for the dsace log to save, which will be located in your my document\freelancer folder - make note, the log re-writes everytime you start freelancer, so copy the log everytime you want to save it)

As for the GMG Ships, those defense force pilots flying them, Leave a message below with your exact ship name and ship type, so we can keep track of who has what.

[FP1]Winter.is.Coming Kaichou

My beloveds, anyone insane enough to attack Freeport 1 will suffer the wrath of the Zoner Gods. May their bodies rest in pieces and thrown into the sun.

*A smirk is seen*

Zoner dominance will prevail.
