Dear Mr and/or Mrs Doe,

The Bretonian governement is currently in the processes of concluding the discussion about a possible settlement of a colony on planet Sprague in the Snowdown system (omega 3), advacing on this decision we are planning a settlement. We would like to request the reconstruction of a docking ring and full planetary elevator system that will allow smaller vessels to safely make their way to the surface.
The Docking ring telemetries of the previous installation are still within our archive however the entire installation was destroyed at the beginning of the Nomad war.

What I would like to hear from you is:
  • The costs linked to this construction
  • The estimate completion time from start to finish
  • A list of supplies needed for the construction
  • A detailed list of supplies needed for your construction crew
  • The needed facilities for your construction crew and equiptment
  • On what term you could start with the construction of said docking ring once we have official approvement
I hope to hear from you shortly,

Kind regards,
Richard Farbridge, OBE, Bowex Director of Exploration and security
On behalf of
Bowex Colonial authority and the Sprague settlement project team

To Mr Farbridge
  • Thank you for contacting Deep Space Engineering regarding your upcoming project in the Snowdown sector.

A standard docking ring for a home world class planet is relatively uncomplicated in the relevance of things, and so we can minimise costs by using a regular model. However if you wish to minimize costs further you can also look at our terra-forming specific docking ring which is only capable of medium to low level traffic to start minor operations planet side once settlement has begun fully. However this model will not handle high volume traffic, this includes transport craft no larger than 3600, and no military capital vessels including gunship class.

We understand the enormous costs and risks involved with terra-forming, and so we do suggest you try the low cost terra-forming model. However this is not to say our standardized model will not be suitable, and if you wish to undertake a contract with us regarding that straight away, we'd be happy to oblige.

With that being said, the unformal, unofficial costs per model range from $32,000,000 for our starter terra-forming pack, and $55,000,000 for our medium to large volume traffic Home World model. Specifics can be narrowed down once you decide you wish to undertake Deep Space Engineering to your project.

Please note, these prices do not include transport and/or security costs.

    Yours Sincerely,
Claire Fairnie

Dear mrs Fairnie,

We would like to procure a medium to large capacity docking ring. We need capacity as soon as it is ready to accept a large influx of refugees. Terra forming the planet is not required, luckily, as it is ready to support life and previously has supported an archaeological dig site without extra life-support requirements.

I've had contact with the Cambridge research foundation. Their former expedition to Sprague had a low capacity docking ring installed. Are those telemetries still useful for a high capacity version or will they need to be updated.

With that sorted out, I'd love a response on these questions.
  • A detailed specification of the costs involved
  • The estimate completion time from start to finish
  • A list of supplies needed for the construction(remember, we are a transportation company and have an Ageira license, I reckon we get most of the shopping list)
  • A detailed list of supplies needed for your construction crew ( I assume these are regular Life support requirements that we are already shipping in for our own crews but some companies have their preferences in volumes or specifics)
  • The needed facilities for your construction crew and equiptment
  • On what term you could start with the construction of said docking ring once we have official approvement
Looking forward to hearing from you with an answer to these many questions. If you need any further info, feel to contact me again.

Kind regards,
Richard Farbridge, OBE, Bowex Director of Exploration and security

To Mr Farbridge
  • So to my understanding, you are requesting the standard Home World model of our docking ring? We can sort an estimate out for you within 2 standard days. The requirements for such a construction are one of the most common in our planetary docking packages.

I've done some research, and have come to understand that the previous docking ring was severely damaged, in fact, vaporized if the reports are accurate. Am I safe in assuming you were not the owners of said docking ring at the time of said destruction? Regardless, I am sure you will be purchasing your own fully operational Home World model to replace the currently registered design our data banks contain regarding Planet Sprague, Omega-3.

A brand new Docking Ring and Mooring Fixture complex for Planet Sprague in the Snowdown Sector will cost as follows on the proceeding quote:

As you can see from the breakdown, We've managed to bring the total construction cost to just under $150 million SC. Considering the costs paid for the original model Docking Rings over Manhattan, New London et al, we believe this price to be a bargain, in anyone's language. As an added incentive, we'll be incorporating the security and the engineering teams into the final offer so there will be no extra charge on top of this quote.

We can accommodate the current quote within two standard days and construction will take no longer than twenty two full days with no interruptions. Our staffing can easily bring the time down if logistical concerns were left to Deep Space Engineering, where we can maximise time and minimise effort of logistical issues regarding specifically designed vessels to haul the necessary parts of your new project.

I hope this settles your queries in earnest, and we look forward to doing business.

    Yours Faithfully,
Claire Fairnie

Dear mrs Fairnie,

My apologies for the slow response. I was to busy with the coordination of Phase 1 of the entire project and other preparations.

We agree with the docking ring to our preferences at the price of roughly 150 million. As soon as Bretonian politics have green lighted the project we will wire half the amount. 25% will be wired on 75% completion of the project and the final 25% as soon as the docking ring is fully operational.

As soon as we have this green light we will be back to you over official channels. Of course preparatory negotiations can continue over private channels

Dear mrs Fairnie,

I am sad to announce that the further phases of the project are still on hold. Politics haven't given us a green light yet. As soon as this situation changes the payments will be wired and the project can go on.
