Real Name: Kell Tainer
Status: KIA (Officially), Active (Reality)
Date of Birth: CLASSIFIED
Specialization: Engineer, Commander Division 7

-- --- ---- --[color=#FF0000]--- ---- --- --
Background:

Kell Tainer is a former Liberty Security Force Agent now working for The Order. Born on Los Angeles in the California System, he and his brother James are the children of an Ageira researcher and a former LSF agent. Known for a distaste for the Order primary fleet, he is the former second in command of the Order's Wedjat and was its Director. He is married to Rebecca Tainer, and they have a seven year old daughter named Jordana.

Kell was born on January 26th, 790 A.S. in a hospital on Planet Los Angeles along with his brother James to Michael and Alyssa Tainer. From an early age, the twins were destined for the LSF. Their father, Michael was an LSF agent, and their mother, Alyssa was a researcher for Ageira Technologies consulting for the LSF. During their school years, the twins demonstrated their differing abilities. Kell proved to be noble at heart, very independent and strong willed, adept at leading (albeit, very reluctant) and to be a bit shy. James demonstrated similar qualities, except showing a large ego, and far more sociable than his brother. Throughout elementary school and high school, Kell hung in the background, sticking to a close-knit group. When he was 18 and just about to graduate, he met his future wife, Rebecca. They began dating second semester of his senior year, later getting married when he finished at West Point and she graduated from University. During the Nomad War, his father went MIA on an Op in Rheinland. What actually happened is of dispute, but the result was his father being recruited into the organization known as The Order. This would later effect Kell's career. Upon graduation from High School, Kell was accepted at the West Point Military Academy. There, he further built upon his abilities, and studied bio-medical engineering. Upon graduation, he was recruited by the LSF. Due to his natural born leadership and degree in Bio-Medical engineering, he was sent to Eureka Research station in the highly classified Ellesemere system. He served with the LSF from 813 A.S. to 815 A.S., under Director Brian Copeland. In April of 815, he had had enough of the LSF. He was ordered to experiment on a Nomad-Human Hybrid. He refused the order, and was subsequently attacked by his supervisor, who also attempted to infest him. Kell shot the man, and escaped, stealing an LSF Avenger type fighter. For the next two years, he would be off the grid, running.

n early 817 A.S., Kell recieved a communique from his father, who had been MIA for 15 years, urging him to come to Toledo, the Order's main base of operations. Kell heeded the transmission and journeyed to Omicron Minor. There, he was thought of as a spy, until he proved his worth by completing many missions successfully, and earning the trust of his comrades. Over the next several months, he was promoted to the rank of Captain and given command of the Hathor Class Gunboat, Neith. He led several recon missions, including one to the Kansas system, where he met the Neo Terran Front (NTF). Upon the discovery of an Alien (presumably Daam'Ka'Vosh) station in a system linked to Kansas, Kell pushed for the immediate dispatch of a fighter wing to the system to guard against Nomad incursion. This fell on deaf ears. However, then came the Preservers.

The Preservers were a small organization dedicated to the protection of Humanity, and would later evolve into the Wedjat.

Kell served as Director of the Wedjat for a year, until resigning due to a debacle between Primary Fleet and The Wedjat.

He returned to duty two months before the battle of Minor and resumed command of what is known as Division 7, a section within the Wedjat absent from records and unknown to all but a few trusted associates. There he commanded the Theta 7 research facility on the outskirts of Minor. This facility would later fall during the closing stages of the assault on Minor, taking with it 90% of Division 7 (the only survivors being the crew of the gunboat Nidhogg and a man named James Blackburn) and the entire attacking force.

After the fall of Minor Kell became concerned about the shadows known as "Amduat" and "Taweret" respectively. This led to the revitalization of Division 7, as a small team dedicated to maintaining the original goals of the Order:

Protecting Humanity.

Display File: DIVISION 7.

-- --- ---- --[color=#FF0000]--- ---- --- --

Background:

Division 7 represents an extreme mistrust on the part of Colonel Tainer.

Officially, the Division doesn't exist, however it has been around since Colonel Tainer took up the mantle of Wedjat Director two years ago.

Originally it was established as a Special Projects and Warfare section based out of the heavily defended and shrouded complex known as Theta 7. During the closing stages of the battle of Minor this facility would be destroyed, along with all but a handful of Division 7 personnel.

This would spur Kell on to rebuild the Division from near scratch, in addition to other motivating factors.

The Division is represented only by Kell Tainer and his crew, representing an elite, small, mobile strike team. This team will act in such a way as to preserve human life, no matter the cost to themselves. Even if it means striking at their comrades.

After a year of operating in the shadows, Division 7 has returned to the Order to rejoin a reformed Wedjat. It brings with it considerable assets and experience.

Si Vis Pacem, Para Bellum

Background:

Daedalus Industrial is a small corporation with ties to another company known as Nova Security & Procurement.

Formerly owned by NS & P owner Declan Schaefer, Daedalus was bought by Kell Tainer recently to act as the public face of Division 7.

Daedalus was originally a research firm, but it has since been expanding to industrial and shipbuilding functions.

Rumors also persist of a secretive Military wing.

Currently this is all unsubstantiated conjecture made by paranoid elites in the Houses, and is somewhat ablated by the company's burgeoning medical department, providing free medication to the underprivileged of the Sector.

Display File: DITFX-001 SHRIKE CLASS TACTICAL STARFIGHTER.

-- --- ---- --[color=#FF0000]--- ---- --- --
[Image: Falchion-s.png]
Background:

The Shrike Class Tactical Starfighter at its core is a heavily modified Falchion Class Light Fighter.

The Shrike is a cross between Borderworlds, Order and Cerberus Technology.

Redesigned in-house by Daedalus Industrial's R&D division in 48 hours thanks to Blueprints provided by the Lane Hackers, the Shrike represents the cutting edge of Order technology.

Packing several features that will not be found in standard ships, the Shrike mounts a cloaking device and a specially mounted TREBUCHET launcher.

Said launcher is capable of delivering the full spectrum of Division 7s arsenal, ranging from standard SKYBOLT Air to Ground missiles, to low yield LIGHTNING Tactical Neutron Bombs, to the fearsome SOLANUS Thermonuclear warheads.

The resulting craft is one that is more than capable of meeting the diverse tactical needs of Division 7.

Display File: DITFX-002 KESTREL CLASS ASSAULT STARFIGHTER.

-- --- ---- --[color=#FF0000]--- ---- --- --
[Image: Marauder-s.png]
Background:

The DITFX-002 Kestrel class Assault Starfighter is the second product of the minds at Daedalus Industrial.

Like the Shrike, the Kestrel is essentially an upgunned variant of a standard civillian ship, in this case, the Marauder class Heavy Fighter.

The more recent of the two Fighter variants employed by Division 7, the Kestrel comes on the heels of a successful raid by Division 7's Gold Team on a Cartel compound outside of one of Planet Los Angeles' major cities.

It was unknown how, but Gold managed to successfully secure the schematics for the design, leaving no trace of their arrival.

Regardless, the Kestrel fulfills the need for Division 7 to have a heavy strike fighter on hand for when things get dicey.

Similarly too the DITFX-001 Shrike, the Kestrel is also equipped with the TREBUCHET missile delivery system. This allows it to serve in a similar role as the Shrike.

Also carrying a cloaking device, the Kestrel is fitted with top-of-the-line sensor jammers, a small scale variant of that which the Resheph class Cruisers of the Order have been known to employ occasionally.

The difference however between the Shrike and Kestrel lies in their other armaments.
The Kestrel, unlike the Shrike, mounts a dedicated missile launcher, used for standard anti-starfighter missiles.

The resulting ship is one that can take on any type of starfighter in any situation.

Display File: ARSENAL.

-- --- ---- --[color=#FF0000]--- ---- --- --

Information:

Since its inception, Division 7 and subsequently Daedalus Industrial, have both amassed a considerable arsenal of weapons from many sources.

As such, even the small arms used by Division 7 personnel represent a braod spectrum of manufacturers, notably Cerberus and Detroit Munitions.

ASSAULT RIFLES:
Division 7 uses assault rifles primarily supplied by the organization known as Cerberus

Current models are below

AR-3 Breaker
The Breaker is the most common assault rifle used by Division 7. Sporting a silencer, this rugged and reliable rifle is a favorite among Division 7 operatives. Effective mid to close range.

AR-5 Raptor
The Raptor is a up-gunned Breaker with a higher ammunition capacity. The Division 7 variant utilizes a silencer as well. Typically used by the squad support gunner.

AR-7 Lancer
The next generation of the AR-3 Breaker. Fires a more damaging projectile at the expense of fire-rate. Typically employed by strike ops squads as a battle rifle. The Division 7 variant sports a digital x4 Magnification sight, and a silencer. Also has been retrofitted with a 3-round burst fire mode.

Sidearms:

CP-8 Hammer
A powerful sidearm also manufactured by Cerberus. Standard Division 7 sidearm. Optional silencer included with Division 7 issued weapons.

Sniper Rifles:

SR-5 Avenger
A cutting edge experimental model. Division 7 only has 5 at its disposal and as such, they have been reserved for use by the elite Gold Team.

Heavy Weapons:

HW-6 Pinnacle
A smartbomb launcher also of Cerberus Manufacture. Used in close quarters.

STRIKER
Cutting edge, limited production man-portable plasma cannon. Issued when heavy armor is expected to be deployed. Otherwise, kept in reserve.

Personnel Armor:
Currently Division 7 has two types of armor in its inventory, the older SPIDER Type Reconnaissance Armor and in a limited capacity.

SPIDER Reconnaisance Armor
An older generation of Armor left over from the Wedjat. Equipped with sensor baffles and an onboard shield generator, SPIDER armor is notroiously for being hard to neutralize and detect. As such, it is typically deployed in an infiltration role.

Sentinel Armor
A very advanced armor type obtained from Cerberus. Includes a drink holder for the wearer. Never go into battle without your favorite drink. Colonel Tainer has been known for going into battle with a bottle of Scotch attached to his armor.

Shipboard Strike Weapons
As a last resort, the division maintains two types of nuclear ordnance for those situations were they are called for, or just as a deterrent.

LIGHTNING Tactical Neutron Bomb
An Air-to-ground missile based on the SKYBOLT chassis, it mounts a neutron warhead. The LIGHTNING is used when Division 7 must rapidly cleanse an area of all evidence of its presence. A low yield nuclear warhead, when detonated, the LIGHTNING obliterates all biological material in the blast radius.

SOLANUS Thermonuclear warhead
Obtained from Cerberus, Division 7 has only 20 of these warheads at its disposal. They also represent the biggest weapon in Division 7's arsenal. Deployed from Cerberus made Aurora missiles, a single SOLANUS is capable of wiping an entire city off the map. If you want to avoid being hit by one delivered by either a DITFX-001 Shrike or DITFX-002 Kestrel, don't piss off Kell.

Display File: DITFX-003 CONDOR CLASS HEAVY ASSAULT STARFIGHTER.

-- --- ---- --[color=#FF0000]--- ---- --- --

Information:

The DITFX-003 Condor Class Heavy Assault Starfighter is the third ship in the DITFX series of vessels.

Following Daedalus Industrial's tradition of upgrading standard civilian models, the DITFX-003 Condor is in the same vein as the DITFX-001 Shrike and DITFX-002 Kestrel.

Unlike its cousins though, the Condor is based on Gallic technology.

At its core, the Condor is essentially a Sirian version of the Eclipse class Bomber, a ship widely available on the civilian market in Gallia.

These ships are produced to meet Division 7's need for a heavy bomber, something that can take on warships in lieu of a strong capital ship fleet.

Similar to the previous models, the Condor has been fitted with state of the art jamming technology and a cloaking device.

Furthermore, expanding upon its heavy strike role, the Condor has been fitted with a trio of TREBUCHET missile delivery systems, allowing it to better support Division 7 operations as a deterrent or last resort option.

The Condor is also a testbed for possible technologies to be included in future upgrades too the Kestrel and Shrike series of fighters.

These include a panoramic HUD, a multi-fuel capable reactor, and active camouflage for deployment planetside.

Display File: STARRY ICE.

-- --- ---- --[color=#FF0000]--- ---- --- --

Information:

The Starry Ice is a testament to Daedalus Industrial's capability of cramming as much technology as possible into a small frame.

This ship is the headquarters ship of Division 7, its nerve center.

Again, this ship is an updated version of a standard model, specifically, a Gallic Taureau Class Assault Transport.

Obtained in an arms deal with an agent named Widow, the Starry Ice was rapidly modified with the best technology available to Division 7.

To start, the majority of the Starry Ice's inner space is devoted to quarters, armories and its massive computer core.

The core itself is a next generation quantum computer core, considerably more advanced than its ancestor aboard Kell's old flagship, the Neith II, it holds the collective knowledge of Division 7, the Wedjat and the Order.

Additionally, it contains an artificial intelligence known as Boreas, outfitted with cutting edge cyberwarfare and electronic warfare capabilities. The result being a ship that is nigh-impenetrable to digital hijacking.

To add to this, the Starry Ice is heavily armored, sporting a Titanium-Neutronium composite, capable of withstanding even heavily capital ship weaponry.

If that wasn't enough, the engineers at Daedalus installed a cloaking device, allowing the ship to slip through enemy systems undetected.

Further complementing its capabilities, the Starry Ice carries numerous airlocks on its surface, and is capable of docking up to 12 starfighter or freighter size ships on its outer hull. This allows it to serve as a central refueling and carrier ship, allowing the Division to execute hit and fade operations anywhere in Sirius or Gallia.

The ship is a testament to engineering if there ever was one, blending the elegance of Gallic design, with the cutting edge technology of the Order. It fits perfectly with Division 7s doctrine of mobility, choosing to eschew any planet-side bases or stations.
