Greetings Fleet Admiral,
  • I am requesting permissions on behalf of Deep Space Engineering as Doe Industries to
    operate foreign military grade vessels in Liberty. We've recently come into possession
    of several Gallic vessels to study and reverse engineer for better preparation and
    more advanced knowledge on non-Sirian technology.

    These vessels will include various 'Brigands' technology as well as 'Gallic Royalist' craft,
    and also in future other examples of foreign Houses technology. This may be of enemies
    of the Republic of Liberty, such as Rheinland.

    Deep Space Engineering and it's new Research and Development division, Doe
    Industries, will submit all findings to the Liberty Navy upon request. The
    experimental vessels will be tested in a location of your designation, and we
    understand the risk of what we're asking. We're eager to work with in the
    parameters of the Liberty Navy, so are very open to the concerns you may have
    about this endeavour.

    Yours sincerely
John Doe

President John Doe;

In order to fulfill your request, which we are happy to do as it is within the interests of the whole house, we would need a comprehensive list of ships belonging to the Doe Industries subsidiary of Deep Space Engineering that would require an exemption. This would need to be updated whenever you have a new addition to your fleet, but would be kept private within the Liberty Navy. The law itself would be updated simply with a broad exception for Deep Space Engineering Primary Vessels to do with the small ships law.

We suggest that any tests to be conducted are done at Camrose Supply Depot in Alberta, which is far removed enough from the major shipping lanes to offer a reasonable level of privacy. I haven't yet asked the rest of the High Command about possibly moving such an endeavour into more secure space, but Alberta is a very quiet system where you can conduct your investigations in peace.
