Now, it's probably a surprise to be getting a transmission running on EDGE encryption. I'm Alfred Strauss, and I was part of the Emergency Defense Group Enterprise when it was actively operating. After the Enterprise disbanded, most of us joined up with the Colonials. It was all we knew anymore - fighting alongside a people whose homes they had left behind, fighting alongside miners, and fighting for order in the Taus. But that's not what this's about.

A large Integral Systems Engineering convoy and their escorts were caught in Tau-44, attempting to retrieve a satellite after the Gallic invasion. Well, I was the convoy lead, and we had been there for three days, unable to send out a help signal for fear of being discovered and blasted by the Gallics. But then your Coalition patrol came along and saved our asses. I'm currently in charge of the folks that were there on that fateful day, and we're stuck at Freeport 10 right now, hostiles on all sides.

We heard about some shakeup in the Republic - whatever the cause was, the interim government is barely holding things together. That's not for us. These people are civilians, and they need a safe and stable home. Right now, that's not something the Republic provides. Now, we took a vote, and we're willing to escort the entire convoy down to Omega-52 and follow whatever orders that you give us. All we ask is that you, Premier Katz, make sure these people can have a place to live and call their own. Consider it.
