>>It's about time we did this one. They're a big player in the corp scene and one of the shadiest out there. If there's something wrong with Sirius it's a fair bet to assume these guys are at fault. Bribery, extortion, downright bold faced lying, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. I had to pull a few favours to get this stuff, cost me dearly, but it was worth it. There's some juicy stuff in here. You're gonna love it. Anyway over to my fair lady, the singularly wonderful Whisper

The Independent NeuralNet Division

By Whisper

Welcome to Oita, home away from home for some of the richest bastards this side of Hell. The IND is one of those corps that has it's fingers in every pie it can find, and the worst part of it is they're bloody smart enough not to overextend themselves. From owning a significant part of the LPI to the entirety of Renzu, the IND have managed to create their own corporate empire that's easily a rival to some of the higher tier megacorps on the pitch right now. And it's shadow ops aren't much different. The Corporate Index rates them as a AAA, as high as it goes. But it's worth noting that some of the INDs assets are, at this time, pure theory departments. How soon that'll change is unknown.
The Princes of Hell.

The board. And a motlier group you'll never find as head of a corp. But it works. This is a collection of power and influence you've never seen before. They've bought and sold more people than most slave traders, and it was all above board. If you can get a bead on any of these arseholes, take em out. They shouldn't be allowed to draw breath.

Jay Simon.

If there's a shadier son of a bitch on the IND board, I can't find him. Jay's life story has been swallowed whole by something and it took a long time and not a small amount of effort to patch up even this small amount. All I can be sure about is that he is about as Libertonian as the Kusari Emperor. He's in fact more Outcast than he is Liberty. But more on that later. He's the head honcho here though his activities are mostly tied to keeping the board in order. Not that he hasn't got his own side projects.

>> There's a fun point, Cardamine, Jay's early life was on Malta, can't have that and not have Cardamine in the DNA. Yet Jay's never seen with anything like a breather or other such device. The amount of DNA sequencing that had to have been done to get rid of that dependency would have cost him a staggering amount, out of the reach of 99.9% of Sirius.

Gregory Bayliss

Self styled lush and general pervert, the VP of marketing is a striking figure within the realms of the IND, but this suitably extravagant persona ain't the real deal. Greg's a Lord, true blue blooded bastard in the Bret House. He's pissed away more than one fortune, and still made it back. How he does it is anyone's guess, however more recently he's been spending almost all of his free time on Cambridge secluded in meetings with other Bretonian notables. What he's doing is subject to discussion but be assured its bound to be about making more cash for the IND.

>>Cash? For once Greg's disappearance form the board ain't about money, making it or spending it. He's spent a lot of time with Bentley Ashers head of the Bretonian Intelligence Service. Best guess is Greg got a sense of patriotism, and is working hard for the BIS. His position in the IND makes him an obvious choice for spy.

Jonathon Winchester III

Liberty born and bred this one, and one of the IND's nicer fellows above the surface. The VP in charge of Logistics isn't a man to trifle with. His temper is nigh legendary and the resources he brings to bear are beyond extravagant. His position on the board is pretty much unassailable, having been President Pro Tem during Jay's absence last year. His action kept the IND more than just afloat. Jay owes a lot to this man. Not that Mister Winchester would ever call him out on that debt. The two have an impeccable working relationship. Makes you sick.

>>Seems Winchester's personal fortune took a dive recently. Just after the Colonial Republic's rather embarrassing court case. For what reason nobody knows, but some interesting rumours came to light. Someone paid a significant amount in escrow to place a bounty on the CR. And said bounty bears the mark of Winchester. Important to note there's no direct link between the two. Still it stinks to high heaven. Good money could be placed on the fact that Winchester decided to cut to the chase and have the buggers shot down.

Douglas Riche

Oh Man, the VP of Legal. This man will talk you out of your shirt given half the chance, he's pure lawyer and every bit as slimy. Possibly mad too. He was the mastermind behind the Colonial Republic trial, as well as being the most likely reason they lost it. Not that he cheated, just knew how to play the system better. He ought to after the PanGal fiasco he was the only person to make it out of there with any cash, not to mention most of it. He's got enemies, not within the IND, but certainly the remnants of the Colonials and anyone who lost out with PanGal might like to see him fall.

>>Though his PanGal claim was perfectly legit, the fact he chose not to share the wealth and simply cut and run to the IND has made him target number 1 for some of the Xenos. A lot of god folks lost out with PanGal and it's easy to see why Rich would be the target of the enmity.
>> FastJack

>>Damn straight. This son of a bitch is responsible for more homeless on Sugarland and Huntsville than any other member of the IND. Lot of honest folks suffered because of him.
>> Slammo!

Peter Hansen

How this guy keeps his job is beyond me. He's the VP in charge of Heavy Industry, and the IND don't have any. So what does this guy do all day? He doesn't fly, he doesn't work the Heavy Industry side of things. Seemingly this guy has nothing to do, which makes his position all the more bizarre and all the more likely to be something off the level.

>>It's not well known but the IND do have ties to the Outcasts, and the rumour mill has it this fellows in the middle of that. How true? Impossible to substantiate, Hansen's never seen anywhere near Outcasts. That said he's rarely ever seen. Party Line is that he's always on Wall Street working out details for procuring heavy industry corps. Smells bad to me.
>>The Orange Queen

Otis Jethro

The mind behind the acquisition of the LPI and Renzu, a devious man who got the most out of those deals and more than his fair share of enemies with Samura and Kishiro. Also the mastermind behind acquiring rights to travel through Hiroshima. Yeah that Hiroshima. What he paid the Kusari Government ain't known. But it's a fair bet to say it played on the IND's new home in Oita. Ostensibly a Kusari system. Otis is VP in charge of Procurement. It's his job to swallow the smaller fish and turn em into profit making machines for the IND. The biggest thing he's done is acquire Oita itself. Who he paid and what he paid for it is as well known as the Kusari deal.

>>Otis did more than just procure the LPI, he examined it down to the smallest detail. There isn;t a part of the LPI he doesn't know. This has opened the LPI to further claims of corruption. Must be said they couldn't get any more corrupt. Rumours of evidence against the IND going walkabout are pure hearsay and you should pay them no mind. Honest.
