Guten tag herren!

For the past weeks I have been conduciting the final survey as requested by DHC board of directors. I am pleased to inform that the survey is ready for your review. I have attached a map of Omega 15.

System features:

The system features two known outcroppings of the Walker Nebula, both with resources to exploit. The one marked with a light orange circle contains copper ore, while the one "South" contains diamonds.

The entry/exit point to Rheinland is the Dresden jumphole, just outside Battleship Schwering orbits the desolate planet Rugen. Westwards the jumphole to Omega 56 is located, nearby a bounty hunter station known as Rostock Station watches the hole. Near planet Skagen, a junker base, inside a debris field of unknown origin. There doesn't seem to be much activity from junkers there. The depot, despite damaged seems to be working, contacting the junkers for any potential deal could prove useful, as the depot itself could work as a security outpost.

Omega 15 is a binary system. 2 medium red stars are located southwest of Dresden jumphole.

Known organizations activity.

Sporadic military patrols, the Schwerin doesnt see much action. During my time in the system the biggest danger was a lone hessian gunboat who ventured too far and was dealt with quickly.

The bounty hunters scout the system looking for unlawful individuals, increasing our activity there will attract more hunters. Right now it looks like a seasonal resort for them without much to do apart from killing ocassional rookie pilots. Our presence will certainly attract the bigger ones.

Corsairs, Hessian pirates, and random unwanted individiuals fly through the system from time to time. The corsair presence seems stronger than the hessian one. Bribing a few corsairs to turn away from our operations and attack the hessian will work fine as it had in the past.

Final analysis

The fields in Omega 15 are ripe for exploitation, but the system is too far away to actually be considered profitable. Miners don't want to venture alone, the trip from the fields to safety is long and plagued with corsair rookie swarms. Increasing activity without a proper base built, will attract unlawful activity along the way, and despite both military and bounty hunter presence will prove difficult for our miners, building a depot there with proper defensive capabilities is a must, as it will reduce the dangers our miners will have to face.

The system remains a a free for all field; Rheinland law is in place but not enforced, increasing our activity there will bring order, and will definitely strenghten Rheinland with new industrial fields and expand its borders. I recommend placing the depot near the Schwerin, as it will be able to provide protection from bigger scale raids.

TO: Whom it may concern, c/o Daumann Board of Directors
SUBJECT: Omega 15 Survey Report

First and foremost I would like to thank the Daumann Board of Directors for forwarding this information to Kruger Minerals, it could not have come at a better time. Second, before we start I'd like to introduce myself, seeing as we have not met before. I have recently been appointed as an interim for Kruger Minerals while restructuring takes place. I doubt I'd have to explain that Kruger has been going through some turbulent times, but don't let that worry you, we are operating at a more than acceptable efficiency rate.

But enough of that, to business ... well, I've scanned the data in the report and made some notes. I am going to forward the majority of the data to our astrogeologists and they should have their findings within the next few days, anything they come up with will be forwarded to your offices in appreciation for the original report. Although, I don't need to be an expert to see that Omega 15 could be a very lucrative venture, and it's not a secret that Omega 7's yields aren't what they used to be.

Kruger has sent a few survey teams into the system, but majority didn't return, and we don't have the resources to escort them. We find the biggest problem with the system is resupplying and protection, and that is supported by your data. Bribing Corsairs huh, *smiles*, I won't pass any judgment, but you handle yours and we'll handle ours. The ideal situation would be, as you stated, a depot of some sort, but in that location the costs would be astronomical. At the same time, the rewards could be just as great.

Kruger does not have the means to construct a station, something of that nature would have to be contracted out, and funds at the moment are rather limited. However, I have recently been made aware that because of Kruger's restructuring plan, we have been offered a government stimulus loan with incredibly low interest. Though I highly doubt the loan would cover station construction, I'd appreciate it if I was contacted by your sales department. I know you have the ability to build a station in such a remote destination, the question is would you ... and at what price.

It's good to know that we Rheinlanders can put our differences aside when credits are at stake, and we better, for if we don't we could be working for DSE someday.
