10/04/919 - New London system - Late last night saw the completion of New London's newest structure: King's Cross station, locked in low orbit of the Cambridge jump gate. Constructed in record breaking time, the structure was officially opened by Prime Minister Maloney and Queen Carinia herself via holo-uplink from New London, to mark the outpost's shield generator coming online.

As a sovereign Crown property, stewardship was granted to the nationalised asset Borderworld Exports, giving the firm its first space-bound structure in the New London system since the Gateway-led buyout of Kensington Station in 793 AS. The BPA and BAF are set to be increasing their presences aboard, stationing garrisons to allow the effective policing of traffic heading into the Cambridge system.

Last night saw scenes of communal effort and coordination that truely exemplified the Bretonian wartime spirit, as Bowex transports strove alongside Police Authority and Armed Forces patrols to complete King's Cross' various modules. The stellar effort which is believed to have involved well over 20 ships is currently being considered as a resounding success.

King's Cross is expected to come into full operation within a week, at which point it will begin the sale of docking permits, to allow loyal citizens and passing trade to access the BMM ores stored aboard. Bowex management have commented, saying, "we hope to see King's Cross rightfully take up its place as a hub for prosperity and commerce in the New London system". Whether or not this desire will be attainable in the long-term remains to be seen.
