Simple question but I've heard people say yes and no, so I'll ask it here...
With the new rules and return of SRPs is it possible to obtain a barge through SRP? Or to get one now would it have to be purchased from another player?
Just wanted to be sure before I burn half a billion, thanks.
Negative on the SRP - I inquired myself. Have to buy it from another player.
Might be wrong though.
Theoretically, before the SRP request, the ship itself has to exist before the request is made. (This is for the new round of SRPs.) On that basis, a SRP couldn't be used to obtain a Barge since you didn't have the ship existing in the first place...
Instead of paying 500 million and four months of detailed and documented RP, you can pay upwards of 1 billion to buy a Barge now, if someone is selling one.

And here we have a good example of what Codename's should mimic.
Or rather, how they should have been to begin with.
Sadly, none of this has anything whatsoever to do with the rules ...
