Simple question but I've heard people say yes and no, so I'll ask it here...

With the new rules and return of SRPs is it possible to obtain a barge through SRP? Or to get one now would it have to be purchased from another player?

Just wanted to be sure before I burn half a billion, thanks.

Theoretically, before the SRP request, the ship itself has to exist before the request is made. (This is for the new round of SRPs.) On that basis, a SRP couldn't be used to obtain a Barge since you didn't have the ship existing in the first place...

Instead of paying 500 million and four months of detailed and documented RP, you can pay upwards of 1 billion to buy a Barge now, if someone is selling one.
