Biography: Connor "Blue" Takane Vincent was born aboard a wandering trade vessel to parents Ryoko Takane Vincent and Brendan Carmichael Vincent. Due to the fact that his mother was of Kusarian heritage and his father of Bretonian, they were constantly on the move seeing as their marriage was a complete taboo in the current state of affairs. The parents raised Connor to be a well behaved if not strong willed individual though they had suspicions that he might have self esteem issues do to the fact that he would always avoid the light and would keep his head covered as much as possible. So one day the parents decided to have him see a doctor to see if there was anything that could be done. They had heard, in passing, of a great man known as "Doc Holiday" who was renowned for his medical expertise but unfortunately had to settle for a simple if not slightly off outpost doctor. After the examination, his parents were told that his mind was not the issue but rather his eyes; it would seem that he was born with a rare genetic disorder that caused his retinas to receive information at twice the normal speed of that of a normal human and that they were extremely photosensitive. It was due to this trait that his eyes were the most vivid and brilliant shade of bright blue to the point that they were actually luminescent in the complete dark.

On the day of his 5th birthday while the family was on a routine trade run at the edge of Liberty space, they were viciously attacked by a group of Lane Hackers after their cargo full of H-Fuel. Their ship damaged beyond recognition, coolant seeping into every corner, the parents fought to shove a frightened and panicking Connor into a life pod only to find once he was locked inside that the pod wouldn'€™t launch. Minutes passed as Connor listened to the explosions get louder and more frequent before he realized that the ship was no longer shaking, he slowly crawled to his feet and looked out the port to see a convoy of 5 trains and a wing of support fighters defending his home. As the last raider disintegrated into a shower of scrap metal, his life pod was wrenched from the ship and tractored aboard the lead transport. He was taken to the captain whom he immediately became attached to and it was that same captain that would stay with him through the tear filled days that followed and also that would later come to adopt him, though he allowed Connor to keep his parents name so that he would not forget them.

Connor would eventually come to live aboard the transport with his new father which he referred to as Pops and would often be observed arguing with him when he'd jokingly refer to their meeting as "A Wrong Turn" due to the fact that that's exactly what it was, for had the ships navigational computer not glitched out while they were on a cargo run, they would have never come across his little ambush. He would also become quite good at playing cards with the gunners when they were not on duty, and was easily able to supplement his allowance with his winnings. The gunners would eventually come to the realization that he was learning much more than trade etiquette from his pops and it became much harder for Connor to join in with them, it was only after they blackmailed a bet limit on him that they would allow him to resume playing poker with them. He loves to tinker with things and unfortunately one day accidentally created an Ai that seemed to have no way of being deactivated and loved to infest the little robots and the like that he built, it soon gained a slightly protective if not extremely perverted sense of being and would become a constant companion and at times, a body guard, that stayed with Connor at all times. The Ai decided to call itself Hikari which is old earth Japanese for Light which "she" thought was quite hilarious given his genetic affliction. Throughout his childhood, he experienced countless pirate raids and it was due to this fact that he fortunately and unfortunately became conditioned to them to the point that at the age of 14, there was an attack that left the entire crew disabled with the exception of himself and Hikari and do to his inability to panic in situations such as this, the two managed to defend the ship with the two cannons left operational until an LSF wing that had contacted the ship some 5 minutes beforehand managed to subdue the raiders.

Pops decided to raise Connor on the values of that of the trader, Liberty, and the IC and taught him all he knew about trading. Once he came of age and passed his freighter pilots exam he immediately began to work towards his goal of becoming a scout for the IC. It was for this purpose that he bought his Renzu Corp. Anki Civilian Freighter that, in his opinion, was of a freighter/gunship design. Connor has a hoodie that he wears while flying, unloading cargo, having a drink at the bar, strolling down base corridors, going over cargo manifests with trade dealers, ect., ect, he also has strikingly silver hair, a trait of his late mother, of which he's rather shy to let others see, which could be another reason for the hoodie, of course Hikari tends to give him hell about wearing it because, and I quote, "€œYour hairs very shiny and it makes your eyes even more '€˜enticing'™, *wink, wink*" . He was given the nickname "Blue"€ for obvious reasons (his eyes) and actually prefers to be called that rather than by his actual name. He can often be found sitting at the bar with Hikari in tow having a drink, but knows to draw the line at drinking and flying. Though he'€™s only 19, he'€™s legally able to drink and has the license to prove it; of course the LSF pilots still give him hell about it. He just recently at the annoyingly irritating request of his Ai friend built a new construct completely from scratch with a quite revealing look to it to try and embarrass Hikari into being less of a perverted entity, but failed completely given that "€˜she"€™ thought it was the perfect match for her personality. He tends to get funny looks from bar patrons given what she looks like and theres always the one awkward person that thinks shes actually a real person rather than an Ai and ends up extremely embarrassed once they find out that shes an android. There's only one thing that truly sets him off and that'€™s Lane Hackers, or, at the very least, the mention of them, and if one just happens to be at the bar for whatever illogical reason, he'll just simply avoid it, though hikari tends to like to try an start conversations with them that always lead to issues. He has an extreme hatred of them due to the Lane Hackers being the reason for the loss of the parents that he never got to know, and should one even think about pointing a cannon his way, well, they won't be flying for much longer.

Connor was told that his parents ship was still floating somewhere in The Barrier ice cloud in Magellan and due to this fact he tends to try an steer clear of it at all costs because he cant stand the thought of them still being frozen inside his childhood home. Every year on his birthday he spends it locked in his ships cabin sitting with Hikari, her holding him whilst he silently crys. He considers Hikay, as he calls her, more of a living childhood friend rather than an artifitial entity, and often mistakenly sets out two meal packs instead of one given that she cant actually consume food. Connor tends to use printed maps rather than his neural net given that his eyes don'€™t quite agree with it, and has issues with its other uses because it lags like crazy as it tries to keep up with his retinas information capture speed. On the day he received the transmission through his neural net of his acceptance into IC he immediately called pops to inform him that he'€™d be running scout for him in no time, only to find out that he'd retired some 3 days beforehand. Pops wished him luck and said that he would go far as a pilot for IC especially since he could see from one end of a trade lane to the other as clear as a Liberty Dreadnaught from 20 yards out, as long as Hikari didn't mess with him to much. He's eager to serve and devote his life to the company that saved it as a scout and trade vessel captain and hopes to make many friends in the IC.

Update 1: Hikari decided about 6 months ago to take her leave of Blue and explore sirius, she has already obtained her own ship and flies as a freelance escort.

Update 2: Blue recently was involved in a pirate raid in which his 2 IC escorts abandoned him and left him to fend for himself, he luckily made it out unscathed but later ran across a group of Zoners that were under attack by the same raiders that tried to pirate him some 3 hours beforehand. He decided to risk his ship and its cargo on aiding the Zoners and was able to give them enough time to jump out of harms way, unfortunately his ship was caught in the jump and a rare but serious jump miscalculation caused the front of his ship to be taken but the rear to be left behind. Blue was quickly taken off his dying ship and rushed to an unnamed OZ facility and was given immediate medical attention, it was during his stay in the facilities medical bay that he was asked to join the Obsidian Zoetic as an intelligence officer given that his eyes were very unique and that they would be very handy in that position. After a few days of rest he decided to thank the OZ by joining them as there newest Intel officer and was given the keys to a Hathor class Gunship that the OZ had found floating in an asteroid field.
