Just wanted to ask if the following scenario is by the rules, it surely didn't feel that way, it felt pretty dull and wasn't fun at all. (Happened recently)

Okay, player A is mining in a mining field. He's in his mining ship gathering ores. He has a cargo ship as well, to char-switch when the mining drone is filled. He also has a pirate parked in the field, in case someone else decides to mine there too.

Then Player B enters the mining field with his mining ship. Player A then engages cloaking device and approaches him with his pirate. He has the freelancer IFF so that Player B don't notice he's a pirate.

Player B is small-talking with Player A while mining. Suddenly, when Player B's cargo is full Player A does the following.

He tells him to drop his cargo and leave, and never come back (no fines, not even after being offered one).

Player B quickly notice the connection between Player A's accounts and sees the pirate ID after a scan. Player B jettisons his valuable cargo and destroys it with his turrets(epic win), before being blown to pieces.
__

TLDR;
Player A is mining.
He has a mining ship, a cargo, and a pirate.
Player B approaches and wants to mine
Player A switches to his pirate destroys Player B, and switches to his cargo ship and tractors the loot.
Player B was not offered any options either than to drop all his cargo and leave forever.
It's allowed.
That sounds like multi-boxing if you have all three ships active at the same time - in which case, no, its not allowed.

That is assuming I even understood your post - it was very confusing.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to expand on the F1 rules, so they encompass F1'ing in the vicinity of other players (as it breaks immersion totally and can be used for power-play like this), rather than just F1'ing out of <strike>piracy</strike> combat.

He can't enforce the demand for you to leave forever. Not that it matters, he can pirate you everytime anyway.

You need to get in the habit of scanning ID for every ship that gets close enough.

Remember his name(s) and make a ship to kill him with.

They include F1ing out of any interaction really.

Anyway, if you were that miner in Humboldt, you have several flaws in your story: First, my hauler friend was waiting for me to call him from nearby, I didn't have a cargo ship myself. Second, I really did log the wrong ship by accident then switched, third, you could always drop the cargo and go to the copper field nearby instead of die and wait 4 hours.

Also, there is nothing wrong with pirate ID'ed ships and Freelancer IFF, I use it in order to not /droprep every time I kill a few NPCs and stay without IFF (which ultimately have the same effect, neutral IFF is shown), Freelancer IFF is more of a placeholder for me, and if there was a pirate IFF I would use it, I proposed it once and the pool had a majority of people who were for and it might be added in 4.87.

EDIT: Damn Charos making random ships in my accounts. >_>

Ya,'cause making it personal never causes any complications.
Now,to answer the OP's question.
While pretty low,he only violated the "F1'ing out of player interaction" rule,by Disconnecting to switch to his other character when he saw you coming.

I can truly understand that it's confusing.

It just felt like really bad RP in my opinion. And personally I think that it all was well, dirty. But sure; I could just head over there with a fighter and kill him, but well, that'd be bad rp too. All actions are suppose to reflect my character, not myself.
