It seems we have run into a bit of a situation between your people and our convoys. We recognize and sympathize with your troubles with Kusari, but threatening Interspace vessels when they are supplying fuel between Bretonia and the Sigmas, specifically our bases in Okinawa is a problem. We would like to open communications with your new government so that we can settle this issue and any future ones that may arise. Good luck fighting the Gallic menace, you have our support there.

Good evening, Miss Shoemaker.

I want to take this opportunity to give an explanation for the actions of the Colonial Military. As I am sure you understand, economy and logistics are the lifeblood of a military. From small things such as food, to all the sundries that a military must run on. Gallia, the nation with which we are at war - is an economical and military giant. Destroying their war material hurts them - but not as much as smashing their supply.

As of now, it has become clear that Gallia is now starting to rely heavily on Kusari. And now, Kusari is becoming involved militarily. It is absolutely vital, to not only the Republic, but all of sirius, that measures be taken to harm the Gallic war economy in any way possible.

That is where this issue has arisen from. Military units, suspecting Interspace Commerce of supplying Gallia, even obliquely, were a bit forceful and inquisitive of your business - if the logs are accurate.

Considering Interspace Commerce is a Liberty Corporation, it is the Colonial Republics intention to seek friendly, and even profitable congress with your corporation, and especially your parent House.

Accept my apology if you feel your ships were under threat. The situation in the Tau's has become complicated.

President Connors,

Thank you for taking the time to address this personally sir, you honor us. Kusari has signed an economic alliance with Gallia and Rheinland, a deal that threatens not only to strengthen Gallia, but to undo the damage done by economic sanctions on Rheinland. However much of the inter-house trade between them is also based on these new jump drives. If you wish to hurt Kusari shipping to Gallia, they jump in and out at Narita Outpost in New Tokyo. Blockading trade lanes my no longer be enough to impact trade. Unfortunately my company does not have a ship capable of utilizing the technology or we might be able to tell you more about it.

For now however, Gallia presents a clear danger to our business, which relies upon the regulation and insurance of interstellar commerce and funding of Ageira trade lanes and jump gates. Every inch of ground Gallia takes is an inch that becomes closed off to us, and there is already talk of Rheinland replacing their current trade lanes with ones from Solar Engineering and Gallia. The Gallic cancer is spreading across Sirius, and I fear Kusari and Rheinland may soon become their puppets.

I would like to propose that we enter into an agreement. If the Colonial Republic is willing to target Gallic shipping to help negate their effect on the market, Interspace would be willing to channel funding to the Colonial Military via a shadow board in the Interspace Mercenary Network for each Gallic transport destroyed, perhaps even for their military vessels as well.

If this venture proves successful it could serve as a foundation for future relations between our peoples and larger investments in the Colonial Republic. Your forces did help save one of our convoys before from a Rheinland patrol in Cortez, and we don't forget those who have helped us in the past.

What you have proposed has been considered by the New Parliament. At the moment, the Colonial Republic is trying to work through an economic rebuilding, after the collapse of the old government.
