Quote:
The Lost Star Vigilante

The IMG realizes that the Lost Star Vigilante - defined by the .|* transponder signal - are not and will not be a part of the IMG nor take commands from it but act as an independent element in the Taus. As the goals of the Lost Star Vigilante are largely these of the IMG, the Guild wants to show its appreciation by providing support.

1. Tau Security Operations:
The IMG supports the Lost Star's operations in the Taus by empowering the members to enforce the law of the Taus in the following ways:

1.1 Patrol Activity:
The IMG realizes that the Lost Star Vigilante contributes to the security of the Taus. Therefore they are granted the same rights to impose the Tau laws as the IMG and Colonial patrols have.
In addition, Kyushu and the Omicrons surrounding Alpha have been opened as a Zone of Operation.

1.2 Escort / Scout Operations:
If Lost Start members act as scouts or escort for IMG convoys, they are to be paid as the IMG escorts/scouts do.

1.3 Contraband / Anti-Smuggling Operations:
The Vigilante can seize contraband as defined by the Tau/IMG standards. The IMG offers the infrastructure to either destroy Cardamine safely or set Slaves free.
Contraband is defined as:
a) Cardamine
b) Liquid Cardamine
c) Slaves
d) Human Organs
e) Nox

Furthermore, Lost Star can intercept any cargo that is encountered inside Omicron Alpha and destroy trade ships of any affiliation if they do not render their cargo for destruction or free slaves.

1.4 Combat Operations:
The Vigilante can attack all enemies of the Guild, as well as those that are listed on the IMG Bountyboard. Even though Lost Star is not visible on the Bounty Board, your group counts as registered.
Addition: Lost Star operatives can also operate in the Omicrons surrounding Alpha and in Kyushu.

Enemies of the Guild are defined as:

a) Outcast and all that assist them
b) Farmer's Alliance
c) Alien "Nomads" or alien influenced/controlled/supporting entities
d) Contraband Smugglers of any affiliation (additional cargo scan required)
e) Pirates
f) All factions bountied on the IMG bounty board
g) All individuals bountied on the IMG bounty board
h) All vessels that act hostile towards the IMG and which Lost Star engages in support of IMG in accordance with this treaty (additional proof of hostility required)
i) All Freelancer and Mercenaries hired by enemies of the IMG (additional proof of hostility required)

2. Support Grant by the IMG

2.1. Docking Rights: The IMG grants docking rights on the IMG installations in the Taus. For quick staging near the Niobium fields, access to Fort Silos is granted.

2.1.1 Exception: If your ships are hunted by law enforcers, please refrain from docking at IMG installations while they can prove it. Freeport 10 would be an alternative, or disengaging first and heading to a secret base like Falkland would be safer.

2.2 Financial Support: The IMG wants to support the efforts of the Lost Star Vigilante financially. The payment is understood to enable the group to maintain operational efficiency and expand their operations. It is no attempt to influence the actions.

2.2.1 The financial support will be: 100 million Sirian Credits / month
2.2.2 There can be bonuses for exceptional results
2.2.3 Health services are provided without charge at IMG installations

2.3 Equipment and Armament: The IMG grants unlimited permission for the use of the IMG produced shiplines (Fighter, Bomber, Gunboat class) and IMG weaponry (Vampire class). Guild armorers have been advised to assist Lost Star.

3. Requirements

3.1 Action Reports:
The Guild needs Lost Star to submit action reports to this encrypted channel.

3.2 Combat Reports:
The Guild needs combat reports about engagements that ended with enemies of the Guild neutralized.

3.3 Submission of Data:

The following data has to be provided to the IMG. It will be kept strictly confidential and not shared with any party.
3.3.1: Names of Pilots
3.3.2: Callsigns of all ships

3.4 Secrecy Agreement:
The IMG's involvement in the actions of the Lost Star Vigilante cannot be disclosed. All activities of the Lost Star Vigilante need to be discreet, so that the IMG cannot be linked to their actions.

This is Sol Fenrir. It's damn good to be back, and all. Sleeping all day was not for me. Let's start with our first reports, already.

Hell... I wish Rowe was here to do the paperwork for me.

-
The Lost Star team alongside a close IMG friend Tiger took down a few bigs here. One of them was a chatty pirate Gaian Gunboat who thought he could roundhouse kick our SNACs. The other was an Outcast Storta, being an Outcast.

Some researcher named Laussen took interest in what we do, and decided to film all of it. Here are the guncam shots.

O - O - O - O

-
Just after fighting an XTF and being saved by a Holy Grail of a SNAC by your pilot nicknamed "Ray-Ray", I fought an Outcast and made him run to Cali. Afterwards another Outcast came about; shot him till he exploded.

O - O - O - O

-
I was cruising around 23 and saw a pilot of yours fighting one of those HoT guys. Sadly she was blown up by her opponent. I hope she's not injured; an IMG took her pod to the base pretty enough. I chased after the HoT pilot, and took him down as soon as he jumped to Kyushu.

O - O

-
Ray-Ray and I were patrolling around merrily... That's when an Outcast Pirate Transport appeared right next to Java. I should give the credit to your pilot's bomber more for this explosion.

O - O

-
Here is a total idiot of a Brigand pirate who pissed me off terribly. Not only that she was not aware of who I am and what I am doing, she also had the nerve to attack IMG people on my watch. I am not even counting the threats and insults I had to suffer. Though I SHOT HER SO MUCH for that.

She was about to dock to Java before I was done with her; so it's advised that you adjust your defenses for your safety.

O - O - O - O - O - O

-
Oh yes. We found a cardamine smuggler; " J.[5th]Thomas ". A junker who could evade us and dock in Cali. You've been informed.

O - O

We also found ourselves a friendly nomad calling itself Sa'Vala, but that's for another time. Gonna sleep a bit more now.

Icognito here from Lost Star with the latest reports. To the point...

O - O - O - O

Two fighters going down to one of our pilots.

-

O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O

Chase of the leader of the SR through several systems, to Omicron 90. On return several allied ships of the SR have been taken down until arrival in Tau 23.

-

Nomad taken down in Tau 23. Said creature 'mentioned' itself as leading thread over the Outcasts and as responsibility to spread the cardamine.

Successful raid on Alpha with a minimum of casualties. Should teach them a lesson.

Scar here, it is my turn now...

Fenrir and Lesi went into Kyushu upon getting informed of Outcasts stopping trade by the jumphole. Throwing everything including kitchen sink at Outcast Storta, they destroyed it. Apparently Lesi can shoot straight after all...

O - O

-----------

Sol and his company scrambled to counter yet another Outcast incursion upon Java. Apparently they never learn. They got their asses kicked all the way back to Malta. Flawless house cleaning.

O - O - O - O - O - O

-----------

So now for the most recent engagement... all of them were killed.

O - O - O - O - O

During engagement we took a detour to intercept Junker smuggler. Kaboom.

O - O - O

Extra: Outcast comm jamming device?

That would be all. Expect more.
So Sol went asleep in middle of his turn to make report to you apparently so I made one for him from scratch. This is not your most lucky day, I am no part of Lost Star - just using Sol's PDA and using guncams available.

At first, Sol dueled an Outcast. Not much to add, obviously he won.

O - O

During my visit to Tau's, I saw Storta class cruiser and Sol asked me to simply disrupt it until he could get help to take it down. That bloody cruiser fired on me literally immediately so I broke his toy. Totally a torpedo sponge. That bomber you provided earlier works just nicely.

O - O

Another time, some Gallic suicidal wannabe terrorist kidnapped IMG operative. He died before being able to hurt anyone including himself. Some ships may require solid repairs through.

O -O

Guy from previous part of report apparently returned and Sol rectified it. There were more ships inbound, mostly capital ships. Obviously all of them were destroyed and single SR fighter was all thet remained. He failed to keep his mouth shut so I closed it manually with Hellfire salvo, shown on the last picture. Too bad slaver apparently died happy. My own payment was covered by independent miner, sufficient to cover costs of ammo and fuel spent.

O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O

Nearly forgot... bunch of pirates had their arses kicked back to hole they crawled from. What more to say about it?

O - O - O - O

See you in Omegas. I dont intend to spend too much time around Java.

Dear Diary,

I will start with some happy news.

It appears that there is a new gang of Vigilantes around the Taus, hunting the slavers and the outcasts, calling themselves the Lone Star Vigilantes. They are formidable, and they certainly do their jobs better than me. They've put so much fear in the minds of their foes, I keep hearing about them everywhere.

Some even mistake me for a Lone Star, and even after I correct them, they retardedly continue to call me that way. "WAIT FOR ME IN BIGGER SHIP LONE STAR!", "YOU CAN'T CATCH MY ASS IN MY SMUGGLER LONE STAR!", "OH MY GOD LONE STAR!", "YOU SUCK MY PIPE LONE STAR!"

I hear that the Lone Star leader is a very tall guy who wears tights, and is calling himself Batman.

I've been away so long... I fear I've lost the control of the Taus by now, but good to see them Lone Star boys were doing their jobs in my absence.

Hell... I think I will be staying in Gran Canaria for a little more while, to spend time with my wife and my twins, have a bit of a rest. The Taus are safe with the Lone Star Vigilantes around.

Here are some random shots of stuff exploding:

O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O
O - O - O - O - O - O

-
We've caught a slaver in Tau 29. Three thousand slaves were freed in your base Java. Thank you for taking care of them. We are especially grateful to your medical staff... I know tending to that many people is a hard job.

O - O - O - O

-
Also, there is one cute little nomad around Java again, seeking after an 'Aurora kind'.

I am really so much not in the mood for a more professional report. This wasn't my job in the past anyways...

Rowe... where are you... Rowe...

Vigilante Sol Fenrir
[Image: LET.png]

I'm going to add some more bounties Sol did earlier.

Sol blew someone up.

O - O

And then chased a gunboat around. And then blew it up again in a few hours in Alpha.

O - O - O - O

And then Sol goes on a Slaver destroying and Slave Rescuing Montage.

O - O - O

O - O - O - O

O - O - O

And then Sol blew some more things up.

O - O - O - O

And then Sol went back to Java.

Sol Fenrir of the Lost Star Vigilantes, with the latest reports from the Taus.

I and my pilot Veera Allen were on a usual patrol in Tau 23 in what seemed like a usual day; didn't take me long to start a usual engagement, with me taking on an Outcast. It took a while for me to finish it, until I could finally realize that hell breaking loose all around me as I was fighting.

O - O

While I was concentrating on defeating my opponent, apparently there was another engagement going on right next to me. One of your pilots, namely Anna McCarthy, assisted by one Coalition Gunboat named CPW-Mayakowsky, attacked the Order's Admiral Michal Golanski.

My vigilante Veera Allen gave a hand to Golanski in this engagement.

Before I could finish my opponent off, Veera and Golanski destroyed the Coalition boat, and the engagement was continuing with Anna fighting them both. As soon as I could focus on that matter and told them to stop their engagements; they immediately stopped firing.

The scene was rather creepy. There were two outcast gunboats and a pirate vessel in their immediate surroundings; they were watching them go at it, and they were even joking about the whole deal among themselves. Them and a few IMG indies kept on encouraging Anna to attack my pilot and the Admiral, and Anna remained incredibly hostile to the Admiral. A member of your primaries was also watching the fight, but he was either disinterested in stopping this idiocy, or was unable in his efforts.

From what I could gather from this mess, I learned that your pilot Ms McCarthy ordered the Order Admiral to leave the area rather rudely, then she started her insults on his person when he refused. It didn't take long before Anna started to engage the Admiral, and with the assistance of a Coalition boat, it turned into a serious firefight.

My pilot Veera Allen says that she thought Anna and her Coalition friend were not in their right minds, so she decided to assist Golanski. I am behind her decision in this, because I think Anna's actions bordered on treachery, if not that already. I know and I like Anna, but one has to be really out of their minds to cause such a scene like this. The saddest part was that, all of this was happening while Java's immediate area was surrounded by the outcasts, and meanwhile I was trying to defend the area.

That's when a nomad battleship appeared, passing right by us. We were disorganized, and the outcasts were using this chance to pave a way for the battleship. It all started to make sense for me, how we were played and thrown into confusion. I will sound it here again, this was all a set up for this passage, and Anna, either consciously, or unconsciously tried to aid the passage of this battleship.

It didn't work for them, though.

We were pissed off, I have to admit. The defense hole that was created around Java was huge, it was ridiculous. It was an insult to me and my people who were sworn to protect this area and to block any nomad and outcast influence passing through. I rallied my people and started an emergency broadcast to the rest of the IMG forces in the immediate area, and I got a pretty good response after a bit of delay.

The Outcasts caught up with the nomad battleship and started to shoot us in its defense. We focused on them first, didn't take long to deal with two gunboats. Your pilot Anna also assisted the nomad battleship, and the Admiral shot her ship down as the battle was still lively.

The Lost Star forces, and the Admiral chased after the nomad battleship inside Alpha. The nomad let out cries of agony with the holes we dug on its shell; it sought refuge and warmth within the sun of Omicron Alpha. It didn't work for it, the sun appeared to be my ally in the end; the nomad's shell burned bright as it got close to the cruel heat, turned to ashes and smoke.

O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O

After we were done with the nomad, and set things straight, we would go back. But some of my members and the Admiral were still furious after the insults we were made to suffer right next to our home in Tau 23. The Outcasts sallied out a force made of battleships and cruisers, we took down many of them one by one, until we felt that it's enough punishment for the time being.

O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O - O

As we got back from the front, we heard that Anna was apprehended by the IMG forces for a questioning. I was asked to appear for questioning, alongside my pilot Veera Allen, and the Admiral Golanski. As you know, it ended with Anna being taken to an Order vessel for scans, to check if she's infected. I am not aware of the outcome as of yet.

No matter what the outcome is, please... do not allow this to happen again. Many lives were risked before we could push back the Outcast forces. Take measures, and don't be too soft on those who should be corrected at least, no matter who they are and how close they are to yourself personally. Being a pilot charged with the safety of human beings, especially of your own people who rely on your paramilitary to survive the day, deserves not to be taken lightly. Risking those lives for a nomad never should be accepted, nor be empathised with.

That was dangerous...

Vigilante Sol Fenrir
[Image: SFT2.png]

Fenrir again.

As this will be the last report of this period, I've done some counting. Here's what we have in the reports. I've only counted what my people got and tried not to add the ones your forces had numerical and firepower advantage on the shots when the claims could not be discerned:

Vessels destroyed: 53
Vessels forced to dock: 7
Slaves Rescued: 12317
Cardamine Destroyed: 3750

I think we documented everything we did. Keep in mind that we are still setting up, and I can hardly focus on my task in the Taus as of yet. As we settle better, I expect better outcomes.

**** SENDER: Jack Henderson, IMG Operations Coordination ****

**** TO: Lost Star Vigilance, Sol Fenrir ****

Dear Mr. Fenrir

I knew that I can expect a lot from you and I also knew from our cooperation in the past what you and your people are capable of. Yet you managed to surprise me. The numbers of eliminated targets are much higher than I had expected, and also the other mission parameters are very good.

I decided to add a 50 % bonus to the payment that we agreed on, which made the total transferred amount 150 million credits sent to the Lost Star Bank.|* account.

Thank you for your effort in the Taus. If there is anything that I can help you with, don't hesitate and let me know.

Good luck out there.

Jack Henderson
