The Overwatch Battlegroup is the ESS battlegroup designated to be an offensive defender of Maltese space, in relation to the Outcast's war with the Corsairs.
The 122nd is the smallest ESS battlegroup, the flagship being only an Outcast Destroyer. It is responsible for recruiting pilots for the ESS.
The 137th Battlegroup is the lost battlegroup of Admiral "SkyWolf." The entire battlegroup vanished after the vessels were dispatched for routine maneuvers. The fleet was headed by an Outcast Battleship.
The 153rd Raiding Battlegroup is the fastest battlegroup that the ESS possesses. It's only function is to serve as a raiding fleet, capable of raiding core systems and holding a position for as long as necessary until reinforcement forces arrive.
The 176th is the newest and most highly funded Battlegroup of the ESS. The purpose is rather broad, as it is designated to protect the ESS' interests.
