are you kiddin me? - Tenacity - 10-05-2008 Quote:And that everyone, is the attitude we want to see more of here. Killing under-levels in guard systems because it is not against the rules. Awesome. If you ask me, the underlevel rule shouldnt even exist. -EVERYONE- needs to be responsible for their actions in-RP, and nobody with the exception of nuetral ID holders and administrator ID holders should be 'exempt' from the RP environment. That's probably why we have so many idiots here that dont know a thing about RP - because they never had to, and now they're suddenly over level 30 (usually either powertrading or in a shiny new BHBC) and they still dont know how to act in-character. are you kiddin me? - n00bl3t - 10-05-2008 ' Wrote:If you ask me, the underlevel rule shouldnt even exist. -EVERYONE- needs to be responsible for their actions in-RP, and nobody with the exception of nuetral ID holders and administrator ID holders should be 'exempt' from the RP environment. So instead of allowing them to become used to the environment and seeing whether they like the place you want to throw them right in? Considering, how strict people are nowadays are about what is roleplay and what is not? It will cause a drop in players as people cannot try before they buy. *Sigh.* are you kiddin me? - Lux - 10-05-2008 Well then, why not just make it so that instead of under-30s being unattackable by players anywhere, how about only in New York? They don't really need to go out of NY for a while, and when they do, they should be able to take care of themselves. are you kiddin me? - Tenacity - 10-05-2008 Quote:So instead of allowing them to become used to the environment and seeing whether they like the place you want to throw them right in? I'm fine with underlevels being non-killable without provocation, what i'm not fine with is the fact that anyone with a civilian id under 30 is considered "invisible" to everyone else in-rp, yet still has an impact on RP. You know how many times a day pirates get their locations/names ratted out to the lawfuls by underlevels who cannot be killed by the pirate to shut them up? You know how many times a day people use underlevel as an excuse to harass other ships while being immune to retaliation? people who are underlevel and have a civilian ID need to be treated as civilians. Civilians dont go into top-secret military areas without getting shot, and they dont (usually) try to take out criminals with big guns single-handedly. Just because you're a civilian doesnt mean everyone should ignore everything you do. are you kiddin me? - n00bl3t - 10-05-2008 ' Wrote:Well then, why not just make it so that instead of under-30s being unattackable by players anywhere, how about only in New York? Too hard to enforce. Did this guy reveal the location of your character? Was he harassing you? are you kiddin me? - Tenacity - 10-05-2008 Quote:Did this guy reveal the location of your character? We still acted in RP, regardless of the guy's level. are you kiddin me? - n00bl3t - 10-05-2008 ' Wrote:This guy was trespassing on restricted space, and could have been a spy. In other words he did nothing and you killed him pretty much for no real reason. are you kiddin me? - Lux - 10-05-2008 ' Wrote:How are people meant to set up characters in other areas? How do you set up a character in Rheinland/Bretonia/Kusari/Omicrons, if once you leave NY you are fair game? It does not allow the player to go and get set up. are you kiddin me? - Tenacity - 10-05-2008 Nooblet, you try walking out to area 51 in khaki shorts and a t-shirt with a camera, and see how long you last. Omicron 100 is home to all of The Order's classified construction and research projects, this guy was intruding without authorization. That's why he was killed, if you cant grasp the concept of killing someone for an RP reason then maybe you dont belong here. |
