Mission Report


This is Hauptkommissar Baldur Schmidt reporting.

We had orders from the Direktor to escort a fleet of Gallic ships, including the GNS Normandie and two GNI agents. They met us in Cologne, from which the Direktor guided them to Sektor-7 in Frankfurt. Nothing of importance was spotted along the way. Once the Gallic ships reached Sektor-7, the GNS Normandie began preparations to moor at the bay for repairs.

No uninvited intruders were spotted within the Westerwald. Our logistics division shall be ready at the earliest convenience, while I'll be on escort duty with the U-Korps.

On the other hand, our technicians are very busy tabulating the necessary materials for Project "DETEKTIV".

Kpt Trager Reporting.

While patroling the Westerwald, we encountered 'Wide.Load', an Orbital Spa and Cruise IFF Libertonian Mastodon class Transport bound for Mainz with a cargo of copper. The vessel was stopped and ordered to pay 100,000 credits and return to Hamburg - after an exchange of words and several minutes, the vessel complied.

Thuringia Mission Report


This is Hauptkommissar Baldur Schmidt reporting.

After the successful mission on Thuringia a few months ago, I did a regular patrol alongside U-66. Near the ruins of Planet Gotha, I encountered the alien known as Entity and a Technocrat called A/)-Revenant. When interrogated, she was claiming to be conversing with a "creature", presumably the nearby alien. She showed intent on intruding and when proper backup was called to deal with the technocrat, she went to the rift surrounding Planet Gotha, her whereabouts unknown.

Immediately afterwards, I returned to base, noting of the possible collaboration between the Technocracy and alien entities. I recommend more patrols of the system to discern the anomalies that may have formed after our operation, as well as sending probes towards the rift.

TARGET OF INTEREST SIGHTING: Einbeck


Kpt Trager Reporting.

On patrol in Omicron Theta, we sighted TARGET OF INTEREST Einbeck near the Omicron Delta jumphole. Target was accompanied by a Grendel class frigate and another unidentified craft - and was attacking a Zoner identified Hegemon class mining vessel full of gold.

Per protocol, we kept our distance, and withdrew once readings were taken.
Einbeck hull composition appears to have increased in unidentified technologies.

Attention:

I am pleased to announce that operation GIFT was in fact a success, while the system-wide consequences are still being analyzed - Valhalla shipyard is no more.

Effective immediately, Thuringia is to be locked down from ALL INTRUDERS. The events within the system will soon attract the eyes and ears of various parties throughout Sirius. Personnel without express permission from either myself or the Rheinland government to be present should be redirected. All necessary force is authorized in the event the parties are non-compliant.

The Inspektorat and Kommissarat will provide a full analysis of both Thuringia and Omega-58 in due time. For now, exercise extreme caution when approaching the Suhl anomaly. Its expansion appears to be halted for now, but there's no telling what's to come with the alien presence lurking nearby.

Now, onto a much more exciting note.

My time in weapons development has led to the introduction of two new weapons I think all of you will find quite effective.

The first has been employed by myself for a few years, VENOM heavy weaponry is now available to BDM and MND personnel. The weapon utilizes a unique ion compression concept I designed years ago. This same concept was used with NEUROTOXIN. The specifications of the weapon are classified, and intricacies on how to re-configure the weapon will remain with me until I deem it necessary to share this information. Any non-authorized personnel that attempts to acquire and use the weapons will run into the consequence of incompatibility.

VENOM sacrifices efficiency for raw power, at a two-shot per second rate of fire the weapon trivializes its opponent with damage that dwarfs any others in its category. Powercore management and timing are crucial for effective use of the weapon.

The next weapon was one I developed more recently. BATRACHOTOXIN is a prototype bomber weapon that provides sustained firepower over a longer course of time with considerable damage. Stripped from the intricacies of the MALACHITE and WILD FIRE. I combined both concepts into one, along with the same Ion Compression concept seen in VENOM and this was the result.

With a staggering 10 shots per second the volatility of this weapon and rapid ion compression sacrifices accuracy - but more than makes up for it in sustained damage up close & against capital ships. This weapon is currently restricted to BDM personnel only. As it is still in its early stages of use.


Both the aforementioned weapons can be acquired on Jena Station - good hunting.

Report on the current situation in Thuringa and Omega-58


Guten Tag Direktor,
guten Tag Kollegen,

I started the surveillance from Fort Sommerda.

From there, I left the minefield towards the Heldrungen Wreck and proceeded into the Gotha fragment area. There, I made my first interesting discovery.
I found a type of jumphole located within a fragment. Initial scans indicate that this "Rift" leads to Erhart. This should be monitored further. I suggest keeping an eye on it to see if the destination of the Rift changes.

After this discovery, I wanted to investigate the Suhl Anomaly. The known passage is still passable, and I made my way to the Meiningen Wreck. The enemy-captured battleship "Fenrir" is still located there, having reappeared out of nowhere during one of the many battles over Thuringia.
It remains hostile and opens fire without warning.

Upon arrival at the Meiningen Station Wreck, my scanners discovered two new passages within the Suhl Anomaly. One of these passages leads towards Planet Ilmenau. As in the Gotha fragment area, I discovered another new jumphole. Initial scans indicate that this jump hole leads to the Omicron Theta system. Again, I suggest closely monitoring this and taking extensive measures to secure this area.

Subsequently, I took the passage back to the Meiningen Wreck and explored the second passage. This led to another new jump hole into the Omega-58 system.
This time, I decided to explore the system myself. Upon arriving in this system, the first thing that struck me was the pulsar, which is the central star of this system. The entire system is riddled with dark matter storms, some areas being more dangerous than others.
In this system, the number of aliens was particularly high.

Special attention should be given to the alien facilities. The station, resembling a shipyard, is surrounded by several devices that seem to direct an energy beam at the station. Furthermore, there is an alarming number of damaged ships. It appears that experiments have been conducted on these ships, which were then simply left to drift in space. Upon closer inspection, enemy ships were detected using some kind of cloak. While I have observed this behavior before, I have never seen it in such numbers.

Therefore, I retreated to a safe distance and made my way to the other end of the system. There, I spotted an old Nomad jumpgate, similar to the drydock, receiving or transmitting energy from multiple devices. However, I had to quickly retreat again as I was attacked by weapons platforms. Subsequently, I made my way back to Fort Sommerda with various found weapons and equipment I collected along the way.

I propose assembling a task force to re-enter the Omega-58 system to reassess the situation and plan further actions.

AFTER ACTION REPORT: Omicron Theta, Omega 41 patrol


Kpt Trager Reporting.

During scouting operations in Omicron Delta, the Logistical Vessel Sleipnir was attacked by a borderworlds gunship of unknown IFF, callsign SENTRY. After sustaining some damage, we attempted to disengage but was pursued into Omicron Theta. Per protocol, we requested reinforcements and was joined by VIPER - after which, the gunship SENTRY was destroyed.

Soon after, a suspected infectee flying a non-regulation configuration of Valkyrie, callsign Rolf.Abel attacked VIPER unprovoked - Sleipnir stood by to observe.
Once the suspected infectee was destroyed, we proceeded to Omega 41.

There, VIPER encountered and engaged a corsair gunboat. Sleipnir joined to assist, and the gunboat was destroyed.
We then returned to base.

On a scout mission to Omicron Theta, I have come across 650 units of so-called "Wild Experimental Research" originating from the newly discovered Omega-58 system. The relevant research data was delivered to Planet Weimar's [REDACTED] for further analysis.

I expect the information uncovered will help us understand more about the Wild that were trapped in Omega-58, as well as the possible threat they may pose to Rheinland and humanity. The Kommissariat will be in charge of handling these units.
