RE: This could be my last post. - HUMPHRESS - 11-30-2024 Rest in peace Connor. Fuck war. RE: This could be my last post. - Eternal.Journey - 11-30-2024 Heartbreaking to hear, a hero in his own right. He will be missed, by many I am sure... You have my condolences, I can only imagine the difficulty you are going through right now... Rest in peace my friend, even if our interactions were short, they will be fondly remembered... RE: This could be my last post. - Petitioner - 11-30-2024 I didn't really know Connor, but my brief interactions with him showed him to be possessed of the best of intentions and revealed him as a wealth of knowledge into many things I had no idea about regarding this game and community. Even were it not for his service to the cause of freedom, we and those who knew him would be far worse off for his loss. Thank you for posting this, Jerry. I can't imagine how you and your family are feeling right now. I hope you take some solace in the knowledge that not only did he die a hero, but that he was loved by those he spent his time with. Слава Україні! Героям слава! Fuck the war. RE: This could be my last post. - Durandal - 11-30-2024 Connor and I didn't always see eye to eye on everything. When he returned and we made him a GM, I honestly feared we were going to lock horns a lot. That's not what happened. We were running impromptu events together every couple of weeks. One in Thuringia where we spawned a bunch of squid NPCs stands out in my mind. His priority, which I valued over any other, was making sure people had fun. I grew to respect him greatly, called him a friend. And then I, for my own health, cut contact with almost everyone I knew here. And now he's gone. I'm grateful that this was brought to my attention, even if it nearly made me lose my lunch. I'm sorry we never got to know each other better. I'm sorry I didn't stay in touch. You died a hero's death, and I will not forget you. Slava Ukraini, friend. RE: This could be my last post. - Arbs - 11-30-2024 Rest easy Connor. Anywhere you were in the community you left it better than you found it. May god's grace be with you and may your legacy always be carried with dignity. You were a very rare kind of person. We will never forget you. My condolences. RE: This could be my last post. - Czechmate - 11-30-2024 He is the man I learned Discovery from - in my first faction the [R], who taught me how to roleplay and he always had this fun creative side about him - he was a friendly and approachable guy, always willing to help and stand up for others - which lead to his passing. His family should be proud for raising a great man who gave his life for others! You know, I've had plenty of heartbreaking gains in my life, but this one stings something new. I know that when duty calls, you answer. I know that Connor had the strongest sense of honor and justice in K'Hara. The news is terrible, but not surprising, and neither is hearing that he went down protecting the life of another. That's what he went over to do the first time. A better man than I once told me "to fall on the battlefield is to rise above it". Rest easy up there, cousin, and watch over us if you would. May your absence guide us just as much as your presence has. RE: This could be my last post. - Sciamach - 11-30-2024 (11-30-2024, 05:25 PM)Connor Wrote: Hi everyone. Jerry, Connor was one of the most genuinely heartwarming and friendly people I had the pleasure of meeting in this community. He was a helpful, kind, understanding presence that benefited everyone around him. I haven't been present here in years at this point, nor had I spoken to Connor in a while, but even still, this news is genuinely heart-wrenching even after all this time. He was a good guy with a big heart, and he made everyone aware of it wherever he went, including this place, and I'm glad we had the chance to meet, however brief his and my interaction was. Thank you, for going out of your way to let us know here. Here, Connor was a good friend, elsewhere he was nothing short of a damned hero. The world is a brighter place for him having been in it. RE: This could be my last post. - Xenon - 11-30-2024 Hey Jerry, My deepest Condolences to you and the rest of the family, Your boy was a very nice person... He was kind and nice to me, I will miss him so much. Stay strong and RIP my friend @Connor (Snoopy) ![]() RE: This could be my last post. - Greylock - 11-30-2024 I didn't know Connor particularly well, but from the limited interactions we had, I found him to be a very pleasant and knowledgeable person. He got me into the K'Hara and I had a ton of fun playing with him and the boys. Fly high, Connor. Fuck this war. |
