BHG cap-weapons concept - Colonel Z.e.r.o. - 07-08-2008 1. They might be more effective for anti aircraft too. Seeing how (as I've been told) the game engine requires 2 shots minimum to destroy a fighter and shield 1 hit know the shield 2 begin on the hull. 2. Agreed house turrets should be 2x barreled also. 3. You should (unless I'm looking at it wrong) increase the projectile size a bit. Or you can instead use the projectile from the ONYX codename weapon so the look a bit more like an original BH turret concept. ~00 BHG cap-weapons concept - Tortured_Soul - 07-08-2008 Posting sugguestion: Never ever ever use .png files when you're posting to the web. Convvert to jpeg, gif, or tga. I've got a pretty standard speed and that took DECADES to load those photos. (BG Reason: .png has no compression, everything else does). At least this uniqueness will give the BH something of their own. Even though its firing 2 shots, both shots will impact at the same time because of the game engine. But why can't you make a new effect instead of just recycling old effects? Just take the buckshot effect and make it look slightly more powerful, just the way the effect changes from Justice mark 1 and up to vengeance and on every other weapon. And while we're on the subject, does anyone have a tutorial for changing weapon effects/stats and the like? It's been a while since my editing days. EDIT: Raekurs right, try firing all your guns at a starflier. Only the shield if they hit at the same time. so the double barrels are just for pretties. BHs should have at least something thats so to say unique. Finally, some icons should match up at least:laugh: I like these weapons, I have never really come across custom double barrel turrets before. I like them, the Buckshot is a good touch, BHG style. I vote for them to be implemented in the future. Compare the number of BHG capships to order capships. We're outnumbered a dozen to one, and of that dozen on the BH side, it's very likely that only one even knows what "RP" means. I'm tired of BHG battleships and battlecruisers taking a trip through order systems going "lolwut? die order!" "lolz pwnt" |
