Is it pretty much pure pure rts? Can you even control your character with the arrow keys or is it all click to move? Can you like dodge out of the way of attacks or whatever or is it just all numbers?

It will be all numbers like the majority of Bioware games.

Think Knights of the Old Republic combat system.

not pure rts. Think neverwinternights 2. Or the spellforce games. You can control them with the arrow, but the combat system is pretty simplistic. Buttons 1-10 for skills and such, click to attack.

Though, I love hearing some voices I heard in other games. Al-mualim (from assassin's creed) as Duncan, Kain (from Legacy of Kain) as that traitor teyrn (forgot the name just now), then there's that priest that joins you in lotheringen who has the voice of Michelle (doctor from mass effect). Plus, the talk system reminds me alot of mass effect as well.

no.

I'm sure it's a great game and all, but I bought it, and it won't even let me launch the game.

'Failed to authenticate the disk. Please insert the correct disk and try again.'

Some new stupid anti piracy crap that doesn't recognise all drives, and it's punishing me, someone who paid for the damned thing.

Good one EA, and another fall of a once great developer, to me.

Download the crack, Markam.
But yeah, I kinda do predict a decrease in the epicness of Bioware now that EA owns it, but I hope it all turns out fine.

Dragon Age's an awesome game, by the by.
As for the system, it's a combination of the Neverwinter Nights 2 and KOTOR one.
Basically, you can zoom in and basically make the game a behind the head perspective of your controlled char, or you can have a tactical view from height.
You can do everything with your mouse, but you can move with WASD if you want to, as it's better that way.

Anyways, personal recommendations for this game.

Thank you, doctor.

Since I got it on Steam, I've played this game for 30 hours.
I'm only 17% done.
I am having a blast. I LOVE these kinds of games.
The soundtrack is amazing, the characters and storyline is fantastic.
I hear a lot of complaints about the gameplay, though I'm not sure why... It's the usual Bioware style gameplay. It works. It's fun. Why change it?
Also a lot of people complaining about how hard battles are, but again, I'm not sure if they're playing it right...

Anyways, definitely worth the money, in my opinion.

I just got it yesterday, and I've been enjoying it.

Controlling combat, however, is a pain in the ass until you get used to it.

I would have liked to see the allies behave a bit..smarter? I'm all for micromanaging one character, but often times I have to pause the action and micromanage all of them. I'm gonna have to go back to the tactics system and screw around with it some more, so that my warriors use their knockdowns more efficiently and such.

Also, I don't like that enemies are drawn to heavy armor. I put my 2handed warrior in the heaviest armor so that he'd have extra protection to make up for not having a shield. But that just makes enemies want to go for him instead. D:

And finally, if you choose anything but mage as your character's class, you don't get one until a pretty decent ways into the game. And Morrigan doesn't even know any healing spells to begin with, so you're going to be going through healing potions like candy..
