IF there would be two characters.

There's a higher chance of interaction among two players rather than one though.
Yeah, I remember those times, when I ALT+TAB campe while being filled. Much interaction.

There's a better chance for the pirate to come and blow something up. Or to steal cargo even.

And is that much different from a trader being alt+tab'd whilst travelling away from the base after he has collected the ore [that he just mined himself]?

RE: The Hege. - SnakThree - 06-04-2014

Oh, so it's all about how convenient it is to pirates robbing people in mining fields from your PoV?

RE: The Hege. - Lythrilux - 06-04-2014

Aren't we talking about interactions here? I gave you an example.

RE: The Hege. - Jack_Henderson - 06-04-2014

Interaction between 2 players would be nicer.

But: If you cannot fly without a partner, it is very unlikely that indies even find into the game. In a Hegemon, with proper cargo space (2700), they can solo-mine. They are in T23. They show on the player list. And they cause someone else to log in. Then there is interaction.

Cutting down the solo-miners by nerfing the Hege to 1300 cargo was a correct step 1 1/2 years ago. Buffing it back to 2700 is the correct step now because solo-activity is better than no activity, especially at the moment when we are trying to recover.

Activity sparks more activity.
Zero activity discourages activity.

Therefore solo-mining has its justification, even in a multiplayer game.

And, Lyth, as a leader of a big unlawful faction, you should love the Hegemon. There is no ship in the game that can be pirated easier. Big Grin

I know, I just miss the times when I'd have to chance of fighting and arrasta as well as dealing with a trader.

Well, if the Server becomes more active then you may get your wish, but until them you will have to put up with pirating one at a time.

Learn to not kill the Golden Goose and maybe more Miners + Traders will work together.

Hege is my choice Nr 1 ship for mining. I can mine for myself, drop at base, change char and pick it up, I can mine for mates. Love it so much. And this ship should never be replaced. It contains a small part of a Freelancer's sould (IMO).

Discovery Mod General Discussion

Hege is ok as it is now - vanilla model with just right cargo hold size.
