On 17/03/824A.S Core Omega vessels initiated a rescue mission to help get me off that haywire base. I'll attach logs of the encounter. I'll revisit the installation with a heavily armoured investigation force in several hours. I'll escort some technicians around the Depot, and hopefully, we can get some answers as to what exactly it is, and why it was there. Note to self: still, need to pry off that disruptor platform. -N. Hail to the High Command
Today was quite an interesting day. I received intel from the Zoners that a guy named Evoker carried a derelict artifact around Delta. As soon as I found him I wanted him to give it over, but he refused to so I was forced so shoot him down. I took the artifact and gave it to one of the seven to take it to our systems. After that, I came into an encounter with a Commune vessel that decided to open fire on me within the Freeport no fire zone. I took down the vessel and made my way to Nauru. Later, I moved the Dynamo to the Freeport and encountered 2 vessels that serve the Nomad threat. I was directly engaged and was unable to escape. The Dynamo was heavily damaged and I barely made it out. That is all for now. Templar, John Darius Guerra out. RE: The Core Reporting Channel - Dank Vader - 05-21-2019 Incoming Transmission ID: Tom Morrison Location(s): Omicron Minor, Omicron Iota systems Subj: Patrol report Hail to the High Command, After receiving orders to move to the omicron Minor system due to the increasing nomad activity as well as reports indicating attacks against core and core-allied ships , I flew from Omicron Delta, where I was stationed, to Capetown station in the omicron minor system. There I met up with another Core initiate, whose ship was named "Nauru". We were informed that there were nomad ships spotted around the sector 4F, near a junker station called the tarancon base. After successfully eliminating the alien ships at the area, we then proceeded to patrol in the surrounding sectors to ensure the whole area is safe from future nomad attacks. We ended up finding an alien jump gate at the sector 3F. On-board ship scanners indicated that it was of alien origin, and it must have been how the nomads were able to reach to the base earlier. We were tasked to dock with the jump gate to explore further, and bring back any information that could be considered valuable, so we docked with the gate. After jumping to the unknown system, scanners indicated that the name of this system was "Omicron Iota". There we saw many structures of alien origin, such as weapon platform systems and even trade lane rings functioning similar to those made by Ageira technologies. Me and the pilot of Nauru docked at one of the trade lanes to see where would it lead to. According to the system map, it brought us to the center of the system, where we saw another jump gate similar to the one at omicron minor, as well as several weapons platforms surrounding it. Both of us flying in very heavy fighter vessels, we kept our distance from the weapons platforms since the turrets were pretty powerful. At that point, the nomads must have been alerted that we were in one of (seemingly) their systems, so they started sending wings to dispatch us. We ended up destroying several of their ships, including two gunboats, though we took some damage. Thankfully, we could use nanobots to keep our ships in shape. After a while, The pilot of the Nauru ship and I decided that there was nothing more to see in that system, so we took the trade lane that brought us to the sector we were in, and went back to the jump gate that led to the omicron minor system. After returning to minor, we flew to Capetown station, where we docked in and reported our scouting results. While there wasn't much information to be had, so I'd say the mission was (partially) successful, since we secured the omicron minor system for now. Both me and the pilot of the Nauru fighter successfully obtained remains from the nomad ships we destroyed at the omicron Iota system. And I've got to say, it's... eventful. I arrived to the Sigma-19 aboard the Interspace liner Aurora. From there, I had to hitchhike to Omicron Theta, and eventually to Delta. The requisitions officer at Yaren was generous enough to issue me with a standard AP-18100 "Marlin" fighter. A sluggish, yet sturdy ship that reminded me of Libertonian Avenger. I prefer a little more finesse, but the Marlin would do just fine for now. Now, to the fun part. I learned that the Core has a trial for their initiates. They send them out there to retrieve alien materials. Either with shield or on shield. "Nothing I can't handle", I thought. After all, I faced worse before, and even in the Omicrons. Find a stray Nomad, fill it with laser bolts, grab whatever remains. What could go wrong? As it turns out, a lot of things. To start, I could have a hard time finding a Nomad. Yes, in the Omicrons. I took the scenic routes, found a couple of installations, even travelled to Kappa, but the critters just wouldn't show up. I did bag some hostile tincan along the way, but that wasn't the target. So, I decided to check out Omicron Minor. The place is the same graveyard I remember, but slightly more civilized now, with the Core's Capetown outpost being there. I'd still hate to be the guy who handled insurance on Toledo. Anyway, I did find a good hunting spot right next to a clearly artificial and alien construction. Looked like a tradelane to me, but with no energy readings. This time a stray jelly didn't take long to show up, but... Yes, BUT! Apparently, my guns were calibrated for maximum destruction, so when I was done with that thing, there was nothing to collect. I don't know if it was someone's trick or an oversight, but I won't fall for that next time. I returned to Capetown to recalibrate my weapons and plan my next move. Apparently, they had intel on Nomad movements, and some rookies were also eager to earn their wings. I tagged along, but the patrol turned out to be much tougher than we could take. Soon I found myself dodging fire from multiple bogeys, while trying to score my own shots. That couldn't last forever. I was running lower and lower on nanos by the minute. I did all I could, but eventually figured out it was time to bugger off. After all, I snatched some remains and the escape pods of all those unlucky initiates. Also an Order pilot, but I'm not even sure where exactly that happened. It's bad that I couldn't hit a bigger target, but at least I made a blazing return to Yaren with a shield, rather than on it. -A. Sunderland Initiate, The Core :::[CLOSING TRANSMISSION]:::

Clint First »Location: Alabama, Omicron Rho »Subject: Report № 1 »ENCRYPTION: Up REPORT FILE/ 24/May/826AS Salve High Command, I, Capt. Clint First decided to investigate popular rumors without much credit in Omicron Iota and how surprised I was to discover a facility in the wilderness inhospitable to humans without proper preparation. I then flew to the Jump Gate from Minor to Iota. Visuals bellow: After visiting the obvious places on the system, such as the famous Altair Research Complex and Planet Xerna, I finally came across the largest Nomad Dur-Shurrikun. It was there that I was amazed at what I saw. Here it was right there before my eyes, a well-established level 5 building, whose name made me think: Nomad Event Station. Visuals bellow: The fact that this Installation has a name in human language, I believe that the Nomad's when they are assimilating our language may also be infiltrating in our environment masquerading as in the Campaign they did in the old days, when Freeport 7 was destroyed. It also occurred to me that the Nomad's had never been used of such a metal structure, although they have long relied on Bases Station similar to ours. In this way I report this discovery to the Core Intelligence, so that appropriate action is taken. According to the crew that swarm the bars of planets and industrial bases and especially in the commercials, it is suspected initially that nomads are making genetic experiences with humans. To do so, they captured the advanced race of the Apes to practice such an aberration with our gene, the human genome. Visuals bellow: I will keep an eye on what else you may know about this fact. »ID: Tom Morrison »Location: Omicron Delta, Omicron Rho systems »Subject: Patrol report and a weird incident »ENCRYPTION: Up REPORT FILE: 31/05/826 A.S.
Hail to the High Command I was supposed to make this report a day ago (current date is 01/06/826 A.S.), but I was facing some technical difficulties. That however, is not the point of this report, so I will move on. Yesterday, I was called by the commander of the Caesar bretonian carrier to assist in patrols around the omicron delta system. There isn't much to report about the patrols. The system is full of nomads, but that's to be expected out here. I jumped in my lich very heavy fighter and met up with the commanders of war vessels Caesar and Lord's Day outside the yaren base. From there we began our patrol. My main role was to draw the fire from the nomad ships in order for the 2 battleships to take them down without taking too much damage. We patrolled in a very large part of the omicron delta system, that included the kiribati asteroid field, up to close to the palau ice field and the omicron minor jump hole. The mission was successful, and we brought a heap of nomad remains back to yaren for research purposes. Below are some camera photos from the patrol: https://imgur.com/a/nBmjbRM Also, I'd like to report that during our patrol, we spotted a core battlecruiser shooting at an outcast transport close to freeport 11, even though we're supposed to be in a truce with them. The commander of the Caesar ordered the captain of the cruiser to cease fire, and he eventually did. We made sure the outcast transport was safe to proceed, and then the commaonder of the Caesar warship ordered the commander of the battlecruiser to proceed to yaren base, where he was stripped off his core ranks and was forced to defect. He accepted the fact he won't be around here anymore, though he started ranting about "the bounty hunters being better" and such. I suppose he was drunk. Anyway, he's gone now, so there's no reason to go further into this but I wanted to report it, in case we find him in front of our guns one day. Unfortunately, I've lost footage I had regarding the furious battlecruiser captain. Later that day, I was called by the commander of the Moorwen ship to assist against an order recon cruiser, whose captain thought it was a good idea to step into the Omicron Rho system. By the time I reached there, the fight was almost over. Jumping yet again in my lich fighter, I undocked from Alabama, where I was stationed, and proceeded to help the commander of the Moorwen, who was close to the Omicron Delta jump hole. My objective was to keep the order cruiser from fleeing, and so I did. Soon, the order cruiser was no more, and I returned to the Durban station. That is all for now. If I find anything else worthy of mentioning, I'll make sure I report to the High Command as soon as possible. Gloria aeterna. Tom Morrison Knight of The Core CLOSING TRANSMISSION
