Im going to have to say I would like the mines and missiles removed from NPCs EXCEPT nomads since those actually do some good damage on you.

Its a multi-player server. Emphasis on the 'player'.

No this is an RP server, and it just doesnt feel RP when you shot down 100 ships in your last mission and you get wrecked by some ace in the next battle. Challenge is needed on the side of the NPCs.

Pretty much everyone pretends that NPCs don't exist when they're roleplaying. 'Friendly' roleplay between (for example) an infectee (with a Wild ID) and a random corp player happens, and often enough the infectee will be getting shot to pieces by all the NPCs around. However, neither side takes note of that. Effectively, the NPCs just aren't there for the purposes of roleplay.

I remember when NPCs were buffed altogether and I, on an Iseijin ship played the sneaky sort of infectee near a GRN patrol. Good times. Lost half my hull every time I tried to type something and my thruster ran out of juice.

Let's not go back to that.

NPCs are uncontrollable. A faction may be 'standing down' and 'hearing you out' while their NPCs keep shooting you. It's irritating enough without them being a challenge.

Those IMG NPCs around Java are legendary at wrecking people. No more.npc missles!

Can we just remove NPCs completely? The offer literally nothing to the game, except to complicate, ruin and cause frustration during encounters.
Reserve NPCs for missions, but that should be it. We're not here to interact (albeit horribly and painfully) with NPCs, but to interact with other players.

Background NPC's filling the space and being generally harmless is ok.

Crapton of silly NPC's blocking gates and such should be removed.

Not to mention them actually doing damage while interacting, like the swarm of NPCs in Tau 23 and other such systems (?). If their guns could be made to nil damage or atleast mines/missiles removed, my Disco experience would be a bit more enjoyable.
