They are very sneaky, but I'd check the bar of Planet New Tokyo.

And yes i did write a number of them, after discussing matters at length with the dev team. They certainly were not written in a vacuum.

As for being 'sneaky'. I asked months ago whether things were being updated and written for Kusari. i was assured that someone in one of the Kusari factions was on the case.

Then I find out at the last minute that nobody had done anything! not one rumour, not one piece of news. So anyone who wants to complain should ask why nobody in Kusari cared enough to take care of the matter themselves?

If you wrote the rumors and news, and you are in the new government, and in the GMG, why would it take extra time for the transition?

' Wrote:... aren't YOU in charge of writing infocards, news items and so forth?

What? No. That's Xoria, the boss of getting things done. I'm just helping patch up the ID disaster.

Dealing with the politics of people writing themselves favorable infocards all day long =/= fun:D

Besides, if I was I'd make sure that those changes were available for review, as opposed to simply putting them in and mentioning that the cards I wrote for myself bolster my case but if you want to read them I suggest logging in and hunting them down.

Those events were player-interaction-based and I am expecting them to end with proper forum-lancing as they were started in that exact way. I'm not arguing about what was done and what not believe you or not, so I only care to see proper announcement about that mess followed by the new treaty being signed. If it's clear for you it doesn't mean it's clear for anyone, this whole topic is an evidence of such a problem.

P.S. As dusty said - we are not prophets to know that there are few lines of text in some rumor on some base that can appear or can not when you dock on the base being fully unaware about the possibility of such a rumor existence.

I knew I had some somewhere. Yeah one of my GMs read a few new things in Kusari and brought it to my attention.

[08/01/2012 3:42:45 PM] Vince: NEW TOKYO -- 819 A.S. -- Emperor Jien Kogen and Shogun Sulu have appeared on media channels for the first time since their disappearance in Newcastle, and since the overthrow of the previous Kusari government. In a written statement, Emperor Kogen declared that the Imperial Monarchy was still the highest authority in Kusari. The Emperor appealed to the Kusari people to reject the impending referendum and "retain the honour and dignity of Kusari for Her children and all Her descendants, in perpetuity. In response, the new Kusari Government declared the Emperor and Shogun to be formally exiled. Should they return they are expected to face charges of gross misconduct, and dereliction of duty over the loss of Kusari lives during the conflict with Gallia.

KYUSHU -- 819 A.S. -- In a watershed moment for the Kusari nation, the people have spoken. A majority of votes across Kusari have fallen in favour of removing reference to the Imperial Majesty from public life. The new Prime Minister Kato Takahashi had this to say: "This is a defining moment for our nation. The Democratic Party of Kusari has made its case to the people, and the people have declared their support for this historic reform". Voting was least favourable in the conservative heartland of Kyushu, where government and media offices have come under attack by angry mobs. At least 200 people have been killed in the violence so far, with representatives of the Farmer's Alliance vowing to keep an honour guard of security ships in space "Until our Beloved Emperor returns to claim what is rightfully His".

HONSHU -- 818 A.S. -- Fresh elections instituted by the interim military government have seen a massive upset in most electorates. News from the poll rooms across Kusari indicate a majority seats being held by the Democratic Party of Kusari, 60% by the final tally. The Conservative Party is expected to take up most of the remaining seats, along with a few independants. Exit surveys indicated a strong voter resentment for the previous government's failure to avoid conflict with Gallia, as well as concerns over corruption in the ranks of former government officials. The interim government is expected to formally hand power to the DPK, led by Kato Takahashi and former general Shimura Yokitara. Mr Takahashi has vowed to hold a referendum on the status of the Imperial Majesty "as soon as is practical, to end the question of Kogen's return and enshrine in law the mandate for reform granted to us by the Kusari people".

FREEPORT 6 -- 819 A.S. -- The new Kusari Government has reached an armistice with the Kingdom of Gallia, with representatives from both Houses formally signing an agreement onboard the neutral station of Freeport 6, in the Tau-29 system. The agreement ends hostilities between Kusari and Gallia, and establishes Tau-29 as a buffer zone between the two nations. Kusari has renounced all claims in the Tau sector, and in return Gallia has extended its hospitality in the form of trade rights to Kusari corporations. In further news, the new Kusari Government has begun the first steps in renormalising relations with Bretonia, declaring the war against Bretonia to be ended.

[08/01/2012 3:51:12 PM] Felix Larouche (ProwlerPC): Dab's maybe
[08/01/2012 3:51:18 PM] Vince: What should we do?
[08/01/2012 3:51:28 PM] Vince: At this point we're still in conflict right?
[08/01/2012 3:51:40 PM] Felix Larouche (ProwlerPC): with Samura, yeah
[08/01/2012 3:51:46 PM] Felix Larouche (ProwlerPC): always been just with Samura

Sure, the KNF and Kusari government was never involved.

Because we have lives, and I am not dictating to people on what should be done. Do I have opinions? Sure. Do I express my views? Absolutely!

But at the end of the day it will be a joint effort between Kishiro and the KNF. And that will take time.

<snip>

Well, I don't know how it refers to the topic, I've tried searching but was not able to find any references to the GMG conflict.

Also, yeah I can do a forum lancing finish to the forum lancing we been doing in a way where both sides are considering the NPC lore and the Indies that wish to use the ID. So no silly treaty's that kills the canon RP of another. One of my members is digging up the the last treaty type thread that we ended up leaving ignored. I still caution that we are in Beta right now and are still learning more examples such as the above.

The way I see it, you could draw an analogy between this situation and North/South Korea.
The two parties are -technically- still at war. However, there is also economic co-operation between them.
