It was certainly a good day for the Junker Congress. We repelled an attack and sent a bold message as to what would happen to those who threaten Yanagi's sovereignty.
In addition, here is an image captured by my ship after the encounter. As you can see, damage was minimal.

Subject: Incident Report
Scans for possible hostiles turned up green, Raven bandit showed itself. Even after bogey ambushed Yanagi Security One, cease-fire and no-fly-zone warnings were given for the sake of maintaining all possible windows of diplomacy open. Target remained belligerent and opened fire.
Be advised that said pilot knows the Barghest and how to fly her. He will reverse thrust to keep you in his sights. After saturating the area with ordinance, he broke free and went on pursuit. Alexandros put on a jinking clinic while we boresighted him.
This was only the beginning. They were looking for this reaction, and now they're gunning for congress blood. Advise all trade vessels to vary commerce routes and to keep scanners running.
Now, on a lighter note, after completing recon maneuvers we got together to take some pictures. Here's one for the barroom wall.

On another note I have some very proud news to report. Yet another Raven wandered into Yanagi space. I'm really not a violent guy so I actually informed him that his clan had been declared kos and gave him an opportunity to leave (although I don't know why). He did not respond an proceeded to sit on the base. You can see below what his arrogance cost him.

Be advised--some angry and bitter Ravens will be back with a Rheinland and friend. This "Inri" character stole Junker property some years back and killed seven Junkers on his way out. He went to Malta and picked up a bunch of rangy cast offs who just want mayhem.
So its Cutthroat Island time at Sigma again. These clowns think Yanagi is "their base"--and the whole damn system with it. Guess they need an education.

A more detailed response has been sent to the Dons and will clarify our position.
As for Raven and particulalry its founder Inri, your first mistake was killing Junkers so you could steal from them--at Yanagi no less--and then returning with an "apology" of "Join us or die".
You are persona non grata to us and it is only the decisions of the Dons regarding you that we will respect. We will inform you of the arrangement we make with them and then you and your mongrel crew can decide if you wish to restore your honor as true Outcasts or join the Hessian cause as you mentioned you would earlier.
Be thankful that even with your impure blood and dishonorable behavior that the noble true Outcasts are even willing to speak on your behalf. Truly you are indebted to them.
My thanks again to the direct attention of the Dons in this matter and the restoration of good and profitable relations.

I received this communication from "RaVeN" seccom. The reponse of the Outcasts has been entirely positive regarding us in this matter and our respect for the wisdom and leadership of the Dons is expressed again.
We will wait for the formal treaty to be drawn and will then announce specifics of what behaviors are acceptable.
Until then, pilots there will not attack, threaten or ignore Junker requests when they are operating within 2k of the base. No combat will be initiated within 2k radius of the base. Follow those rules until a multiparty agreement is drawn and there will be no more trouble. After the agreement is signed, a more comprehensive set of rules of conduct will be presented.
We have held of on construction and deployment of capital vessels to this point so that diplomacy has time to run its course. We can discuss these matters more specifically when a formal accord is agreed.
