So you are using Settings > Set Freelancer Directory and selecting the Discovery Freelancer folder?

Is this thing still going?
I think it's missing one crucial feature - profiles. Switching easily between lawful and unlawful limitations would be neat.
Program will be perfect by then.

Yeah, we talked with Raisu about adding ID choices, so it automatically uses rephack file to disable inaccessible bases. Maybe I should remind about that.

So could some one explain How everyone is Installing Companion and getting it to work on GC, if they would be so Kind Please?
Please List all Install Directories for all Programs Including Vanella Freelancer Install and Mod.

Where is companion supposed to run from?

Here is what I have done,

Basic Freelancer - C:\game\Freelancer
Mod - C:\GAMES\Freelancer 4.91.0 ---- that was after I cleared older version out and installed 4.91.0
C:\Programs\Freelancer Account Manager
C:\GAMES\Freelancer 4.91.0\DSLauncher.exe
Even tried Running companion from --- C:\GAMES\Freelancer 4.91.0 and C:\GAMES\Freelancer 4.91.0\EXE\FLCompanion.exe

And it still can not find my Running game?

Anyone have any Clue what I can do? some one needs to write a trouble shooting if this happens and they know how to fix it?
Thanks so very much for your time in advance Smile God Bless...

Do you have other freelance mods installed?

@Wizou, thanks. I didn't see you stopped by to post, I've been kind of absent from the forums for a bit trying to first get my activity in the game itself back up but I appreciate it.

Ideally, I would like to get the Faction Rep Sheet imported straight from the client, similarly to Commodity prices, Ship Cargo, and Currency. Unfortunately, my experience with Freelancer's client memory and whatnot is limited. So I've mostly been throwing darts in a pitch black room so to speak with some of the code that seemed to be the start of a Rep Sheet import in Wizou's original code.

In the absence of that path being available, sometime this week I'll most likely be working on using the ID Rep Hack info that I had gotten access to some time ago.

RE: Freelancer Companion update for DiscoveryGC (Current: v4.25) - Edison.Stout - 06-19-2020

I was wondering if a feature request is permitted.

I was wondering if it would be possible to have the ability to import/export settings. I know others have asked about profiles related to rephacks, but I was thinking more modular. As an example, I have two traders, both are quasi-lawful types and generally have access to the same bases, rephacks, and commodities. As a personal preference I play one on the more lawful side with regards to the bases and commodities carried, and on the other I move contraband and frequent unlawful bases. Currently Freelancer Companion opens up with whichever settings I used last, so I have to reset and re-adjust it every time I switch between the characters. I know the settings are currently stored in the registry, and I can certainly import/export those as necessary through a script I've written, but it would be nice if I could do that through the application itself, and if the application could write to a settings file instead of the registry. Along those lines I would hope it would be possible to have a list of recent profiles to select from based on which character I'm building it against.

RE: Freelancer Companion update for DiscoveryGC (Current: v4.30) - Its Raisu - 06-27-2020

New version is out. Did some cleanup of the main post and updated the links there as well.

https://github.com/Corran-Raisu/FLCompanion/blob/master/Public%20Release/FLCompanion%20(v4.30).rar?raw=true

Newest Updates:
  • ID Rephacks have been added and is the primary reason for the update. You can now select an ID in the Limitations window and it will automatically fill out the "Exclude base by factions" and will exclude factions where the rephack is -0.6 or lower.
    • At the moment this is done by embedding the ID Rephacks into the exe and then temporarily writing it as an ini file that it can then open as it does any other ini file it reads. If this method is deemed to be unwanted then I can remove it.

    • This is also only really useful for NPC Faction IDs and not Official Faction IDs / SRP IDs because they only locally show up as "Player Faction ID (ID nickname)" and "Special Operative ID (ID nickname)". If you wish to use a Player Faction ID here, please use https://discoverygc.com/forums/ids.php to find the appropriate ID.

  • There is also a "Jump Trading" option in the Limitations window. This will overwrite the time it takes to reach a base by whatever value you put in. By default this is 600 seconds.
    • If it takes you 8 minutes to jump and reach the destination base, this value should be changed to 480 seconds.
