Goededag, esteemed representatives of the Zoners in this region. A pleasure to make acquaintance of you today.
My name is Diderik van Ghent, and the new administrator of the humble Peregrine Spaceport, on Tau-29. I believe you had contacts with the previous zoner management, ja?

I send this message to inform you of the recent changes on the Station, and of our interest in doing business with our neighbors. We have little, as it is usual with any startup, but we hope to establish a good working relationship.

I have noted a little interest on those amulets sold on Shasta, and set up some space for a little stock of it.

I also hope I can rely on the folks on Freeport 6 to provide us with some basic supplies.

If there is anything I may help or provide, please let me know.

Greetings, Mr. van Ghent,

I am Matok, administrator of Freeport 6. You have me curious. While I do not have a problem for say with a nearby base, I must ask where the base is in relation to the Freeport. The last one was barely outside the neutral zone. Understand that that through some shotty treaty made up by the governments of Kusari and Gallia that we are the border of a neutral zone and we really do not need hostility.

Understand also that as, for now anyway, that we are in a relatively quiet area and that the supplies we do get are limited. As to ship services, we have but two security ships, one of which is my cruiser, that patrol the Taus for Zoner interests.

If we are to be neighbors then I suggest we meet. I do not travel far. We can meet in my office, the Deadbeat Cafe on station or I can visit you.

Gypsie Skripto on the Golden Phone here! I'm glad to have a response from that installation at last. As you know, we did try to get in contact with the previous owners, but the only comm we had from them at all was a brochure of the base's auction, which we recieved too late to even interest ourselves in it. Congratz on the purchase! You've come to some tricky piece of space, I tell you, but I hope it's all for the better. As for your operations nextdoor of our turf, we'd like to know more about where your loyalties and friendships lie before chewing more fat. In any case, all business is good business. You are welcome to the Deep Shrine, at Brunswick Shrine for a more extended reunion with me. I think joint operations between both our bases could prove to be very profitable. I already have one thing in mind...

Mijn goede heren, I thank you for your replies. I will do my best from now on to ease your concerns, and to provide you the answers you seek.

--To Commander Matok of FP 6--

The truth is, our installation was deployed by its original owners not very far from the Freeport you live on. If you take for reference the standard star charts for the system, we could say we are straight south of your location, at about 20k of distance. Next time you decide to set out on a patrol on the sector, you will find you can barely manage to spot our spaceport in the distance from Freeport 6.

I hope this relative distance will not hamper your zone protocols. While I believe many people will take your Freeport for reference to find our location, I hope that it will not bring harm to your discreet operations.

As for the Gallic-Kusarian verdrag you mentioned, I believe that we would cause little problem to the either nation field of operations, nor affect the Freeport neutrality.

As for the ship services and whatnot, I thank you for the information provided. Our station is still very limited in the services provided, so we were thinking on directing our customers to the Freeport 6 for matters concerning ship maintenance and repairs. As for security, we are aware that the zoners have become ingenious in creating means to secure their areas. Hopefully, a long time will pass without trouble before I have to rely on your graces for assistance. For now, do not be concerned about this matter.

Finally, I thank you for the offer of a drink at the bar. Once I manage to complete the opening period, I'll arrange for some time to visit this cafe of yours. I'll let you know in advance.

I have said our staff would head to the Freeport for supplies. Of course, if the folks of the Freeport desire something that me have in hand, I would be glad to have it shipped to you with good haste.

Once again thank you for your message. We will take your advise about the region to heart. We are aware of the main players in the area, but for now, we are just an illustrious stranger to all. Other than the Markt, we do not wish to delve too deeply on the power plays of the residents.

If everyone can find something useful to trade in our marketplace, good. If they wish to crack someone's head while they're at it, they can take it outside.

While my words may sound naive, I believe anyone would welcome an extra door where they can sell the fruits of their labor, or spend the money that came from such labor.

We are interested in listening about any networking proposals and deals that may enrich Peregrine Spaceport. Once me and the rest of the administration successfully ends the opening phase, I will try to reach your Brunswick Shrine for a face to face meeting. We will use the time to mature our own proposals to you and your associates.
