Operation against the Order:
When the Core announced a new Guildmaster, Herr Peter Lambrecht, it was sure, that because of his views on the Zoners and the Order, the Core would become more tightened in its placement due to it being surrounded by enemies. Since the Buro was not in the position to help with fighting the Zoners, Admiral Hofmann promised to send out a capital ship of the Buro's Flottille to Omicron Delta where it was supposed to fight against the forces of the Order. Their force has grown again, a new group of terrorists called the "Task Force Providence", purpose unknown, has arisen attention there and caused problems already. In a clash between the Buro, the Core and said Order group, an Order Capital Vessel was destroyed. The Order has lost several ships during the operation, Agent Strausse joined Admiral Hofmann in this operation later on too, one of the Core's Paladin's called "Aidan Reeves" has shown a certain dislike for the new Guildmaster and showed symptoms of defection already, Admiral Hofmann stated that he would take care of this issue by himself. Herr Lambrecht has not been informed due to this. Since the recent activity of the Unioners has risen, Admiral Hofmann has ordered to pull back the ships that were stationed in the Omicrons, except for those that were there before, to aid in the fight against the Union, which seems to become stronger with every day. According to Admiral Hofmann, the situation in the Omicrons could escalate between the Buro and the Zoners, Herr Lambrecht has very offensive plan against this group, something Admiral Hofmann did not want to get involved in. Paladin Reeves described him as a warmonger who does not care about the safety of his people but only about the destruction of the Core's enemies, the testimonies have varied, a big part of the Core supports Herr Lambrecht. Rheinland, known for its efficiency and for its strength in many aspects, known as a powerful political entity within Sirius but as time passes by, everything sees clouds rising up and Rheinland was just hit by a storm, a storm which affected everyone in the colonies, Rheinland was at war, it was at war with Bretonia and Liberty, preparing for a strike against Kusari, now that governor Tekagi was dead. Niemann turned Rheinland into something similar to a dictatorship if it wasn't already, not much was known to the civilians, they only knew the oppression that was done to them by that time. Men were pulled in the Rheinwehr to fight a war which they would probably not survive. Women and children were left alone and got manipulated so they would not go against the ideology that was being spread. In the children, Niemann saw the future and so, even in Kindergarten, they were pushed onto the propaganda that was served, this didn't end when they entered school, it was effective while it lasted. Few people fought the Kanzler, fewer people survived this fight, especially if they weren't opposed to the government already. But there were some people that fought a silent fight against the enforcers of a new order. Even a few children, probably less than a hundred, knew this war was pointless, one of those children, was Stefan.
7 year old Stefan punched against a small device, a radio transmitter as it looked like, a very old design that could have been made hundreds of years ago. A scrambling voice came from it, barely understandable. Stefan held his ear close to it as the voice became a bit better to understand. "Today is *scrambling* day for the Widerstand, the *scrambling*-schuh was able to *scrambling*-tal shipyard within the *scrambling* cloud, soon, Rheinland will *scrambling* again, you are the resistance!" The scrambling got worse now and Stefan punched against the radio again, without any success this time, so he turned it off. Suddenly, the voice of his mother came from downstairs where the kitchen was. "Stefan, come down to eat bitte, I won't wait for you all the time again." She yelled and waited for an answer, but nothing came back at first. "Are you listening to those transmissions again? I told you to stop that, come down now or you and I will both have a problem!" She yelled with an even more powerful voice now. A few seconds later, Stefan quickly ran down the stairs from his room to the kitchen and sat on the table without looking at his mother. "Sorry, I didn't hear you." He said and looked down on his plate, avoiding any eye contact with his mother, who raised an eyebrow while looking at him kind of angrily. "Do you know what happens with people that try to overthrow the Kanzler or even think about it? Huh? Do you know that the Leibgarde can show up here any day when they find out that you listen to the Widerstand's transmissions? I don't want them to take you with them and me too!" She said and tried to make him look at her, Stefan however, kept avoiding any eye contact with her and tilted his head to the left. "Look, I know you're sad that Vater had to go with the Rheinwehr, but I-" She was interrupted by him looking at her angrily. "I am not sad about it! He went to war to kill innocent people!" He yelled, Stefan yelled at her. His mother took a step back and seemed shocked, that her seven year old son would speak like that. It was not the first time that Stefan listened to those transmissions and although his mother always tried to ge thim away from them, she just saw it as a hobby and did not expect it to have any impact on him. "Stefan, what you're saying is horrible, please, I don't want the Leibgarde to take you with them! When will you finally stop talking this ... this nonsense! I did not raise you to be one of those that die everyday, you are supposed to become something and not rot on the streets for dumb words you pick up from desperate rebels!" She said with a highly worrying voice. Stefan just shook his head and stood up from his chair without any words. He walked back up the stairs and slammed the door behind him as he entered his room. Leaving his mother standing alone in the kitchen, as she wiped away a tear. RE: Stefan Hofmann| Lost and enlightened - Shelco - 09-18-2016 Chapter Two: The Reunion, 801 A.S. It was a mild day on Stuttgart, one of those rare and very enjoyable days many people appreciated in those times. Although the war was pretty much over, conditions for the population in Rheinland suffered. Niemann was dead, and with him, his propaganda machines, the Leibgarde disappeared, only a few of them returned and went undercover, others seemed to have fled into the Omegas, nobody knows why. Most Rheinwehr soldiers were dead or injured, the population woke up from the war propaganda but needed to find its way back to a normal life again. The nomads played the biggest part in this war. A surviving cell within the BDM informed all people about what was happening, that Niemann was the host for a nomad and the majority of the Rheinwehr was too. Although the government tried to kill as many infected people as possible, it was not able to maintain every single one of them. There were not many soldiers that were able to return back to their homes and families.
Stefan's mother was sitting in the living room and read a book, a warm blow of wind passed through the room when suddenly it knocked on the door. She got up and laid her book on the table and sighed as she came closer to the door. "For the last time, we did not see any infected people stop knocking on our-" She suddenly stopped as she saw her husband standing on the doorstep, smiling at her. "E-Eckhart? I thought you were dead, why did you not tell me you were coming?" She asked, seemingly shocked about him standing there, not quite clear if she was happy about it in this moment. "I ... thought I'd surprise you, I survived the war, darling, did you miss me?" He asked and smiled at her while she still seemed very shocked. "I did ..." She just responded and fell in his arms for a bit. "Come in, you must be tired, do you need something?" She asked and let him sit down on the couch, Eckart looked around for a moment. "Where is Stefan?" He asked her happily. "Stefan! Come down here, your father is back!" She yelled and sat down next to him, for a few seconds there was nothing but silence until Stefan slowly came out of his room and looked down the stairway to the couch where his father was. "Vater?" He asked silently and only came out his room with the half of his body. "I am back, my son." He responded and smiled at Stefan who seemed to be very mistrustful, Stefan went back to his room without any words. "Did I say something wrong?" He asked his wife worrying. "Nein, it is just ... during the war, Stefan often listened to the transmissions of the Widerstand and ... so he kind of grew a hate on what was going in with Rheinland, he heard about this infection stuff and now he doesn't even go outside anymore with the other kids, he had a hard time at school but well ... he managed himself until now, give him time." She said and laid her head on Eckart's shoulder who suddenly also had a suspicious glance in his eyes as he looked back to Stefan's room. In the following night Stefan heard a strange sound of someone wandering through the house, he woke up and sneaked to the other side of his room into a corner, he could hear the steps that seemed to come closer to him. Now the steps seemed to go away a few meters, Stefan stuck his head out of the door and saw a silhouette with a gun slowly entering the room of his mother. He sneaked after him just to see his father holding the weapon against his mother's head. "NO!" He screamed and woke his mother up, Eckart now looked to him, Stefan took a small sculpture from the desk next to him and threw it at his father who let the gun drop while Stefan and his mother ran downstairs. Eckart followed them and tried to shoot them but missed, he hit the wall instead, he shot around himself like a maniac and destroyed several pieces of furniture. Stefan hid behind the couch but his mother was not fast enough and Eckart caught her, threw his gun into a corner to pack her with both of his hands, something came out of his mouth, it looked like a tentacle, Stefan only could hear the screams of his mother. Then he spotted the weapon laying in the corner, he saw how distracted his father was and sprinted to the gun. he took it and aimed at his father but closes his eyes from what he saw and simply pulled the trigger, the recoil made him fall behind on the floor and he opened his eyes again and saw his father toppling to the floor but he was not dead yet. Stefan ran up to him with his gun and screamed loudly as he shot him in the head, again with his eyes closed. The blood of his father and of the incubus he shot slowly spilled across the floor. Stefan turned to his crying mother who was laying in a corner completely traumatized and sat down next to her to hug her for a long time. RE: Stefan Hofmann| Lost and enlightened - Shelco - 09-18-2016 Chapter Three: A way out, 823 A.S. Stefan sat at his desk in his office on Planet New Berlin, there were piles of paper all over the place, some of it was laying on the ground already. "Classified"was standing on a few of them, Stefan leaned back and sighed, he held a hand against his forehead and rubbed it. He took out a small pack of pills and swallowed two of them and packed them away. "Gott, these headaches..." He silently moaned and leaned forward on the big pile of papers again. Although he tried to get back to his work, he just couldn't keep a calm mind, something bothered him, something that kept him from thinking clearly. One of his colleagues walked by. "Hey, Stefan, mann, you look like some Unioners ran you over, what's wrong?" He asked and entered his office, sitting down on one of the chairs at the door which he closed behind him. "I have no idea, headaches, bad ones, can't even make those stupid assignments anymore, I did those in a blink of a second a few weeks ago." He said and threw his pan back on his table and aggressively threw himself back in his chair, "You should go see the doctor, sounds like you're getting sick, you know Direktor Koch wants us always ready for deployment and you can't do it like this." He said and sipped on his cup of coffee. "I was at the Doktor already, he gave me those pills but they just make it better for an hour or so and then it gets worse again, I think I just should take a few days off, been feeling bad anyways." He said and held his hands before his face. "Sicher, if you come back again." He said and winked at Stefan and left the office a second later, leaving Stefan there sitting and thinking. After a few minutes he got up and left a voicenote for the Direktor on his desk and left in direction to his ship. The platform was pretty empty at this time and Stefa enjoyed the cold wind that passed him as he came closer to his ship. As he entered it and sat down on his chair, he idled for a while and stared out of his cockpit. He looked after the many landing and launching ships that left and entered New Berlin. He didn't feel an urge to set the coordinates for his home. Somehow he entered coordinates that weren't known to him before and he started the engines, he didn't realize where he was going but just took the route there without thinking straight. RE: Stefan Hofmann| Lost and enlightened - Shelco - 09-20-2016 Chapter Four: The confrontation, 823 A.S. A dark background is filling the voids of the Omega-58 system, a system, which has been forgotten for long, a giant explosion occurred in here which destroyed the connection to a system the people of Liberty know as "Drake". Stefan's Wraith slowly passed through the system as Stefan stared into the voids as if he was hypnotized. The engines slowly turned off as his fuel ran out. The lights and all of his screens and steering elements slowly turned off too and his ship turned completely dark in the middle of the space. Suddenly something illuminated behind him, a purple light that revealed another Wraith. "Did you come to save me from this space?" Stefan asked tired, he looked like he was really done with everything around him as if he would have suffered a lot in the recent times, the ship turned around him a few times before stopping in front of him. "Engine failure?" A female voice asked. "Seems so ... I have been out here for a while I think, I must have fallen unconscious and drifted away to this place," he answered and tried to re-activate the ship. "Was is your name?" The voice asked with a fearsome echo under it. "Stefan Hofmann it is, unknown person." He answered with a tiring voice. "You are in service for the Buro der Marineintelligenz, Richtig?" the voice asked now, it seemed like an interrogation. "I ... I am, how do you know?" He asked and tried to lift his head up a bit, attempting to see something behind the cockpit glass of the other ship but it was too dark. "We know a lot of things about a lot of people and groups, Herr Hofmann." The voice answered, followed by a dark laughter. "Who do you work for?" He asked back, trying to get some information out of her as well. "The Kanzler ... we are the guards so to speak." She said calmly to him, Stefan raised an eyebrow, if someone would work for the Kanzler, the Buro would know, he thought, it all seemed way too suspicious. "Why have I never heard about you then?" He asked mistrustfully. "We are the Kanzler's covert operational service, that protects him or her and kill the enemies of the state." The woman said confidently. "What is your name then? Mysterious guardian?" Stefan asked, as if he could not believe the story the voice told. "Call me Fylgja for now, Agent, I see that the fact you found your way here is not a coincidence, those who end up here often search for something they want but don't even know that they do, tell me, what do you search for?" She asked, her voice got slowlier the more she said. "As I said, I must have fallen unconscious and drifted away to this place." He responded with a somewhat annoyed voice. "Have you ever questioned your career, Herr Hofmann? Ever wondered, why everything seems to remain as it is? No improvement? Nothing? What if I told you that we search for capable people that step up in their life, I feel like this is something for you." Fylgja said, her voice sounding tandalizing. "Was? What do you mean? I have a good career at the Buro!" He responded aggressively. "Every soldier that has decided to join our ranks has never felt any regret, Herr Hofmann, they generally improve their physical and psychological abilities ... as well as their ... health." She said slowly and calmly, knowing, that the last part would attract him more. Stefan raised an eyebrow over this. "The health? How?" He asked mistrustfully. "Our training involves a program, in which the subject is being put in a sleep, where we put several kinds of artificial vitamins and other biological medications in his or her body to improve the immune system to a point where diseases can't even reach you anymore." She said and let out a dark smile which he couldn't even see. "Show me where you do that." He said emotionless. he considered her offer even when everything sounded very suspicious, he was unable to think clearly enough to judge right now. Suddenly, his ship's engines lit up again and his board lights also illuminated again. "Follow me." Fylgja said and without any initiative of Stefan, his ship followed the ship of her. They came closer to a big shipyard which had a few broken parts of Rheinland ships in its repairing dock. Stefan just looked as they came closer and everything else seemed to sink in the shadows. They approached the landing bays of the station and the gates opened without any words by Fylgja or the station command itself. As his ship was inside, everything suddenly became dark and he fell unconscious again. RE: Stefan Hofmann| Lost and enlightened - Shelco - 09-20-2016 Chapter FIve: Enlightment, 823 A.S. As Stefan slowly woke up, he found himself on a table, at least it felt like one, it was cold and hard on it and he was facing the ceiling, was this a surgery table? He didn't know. The air seemed paper thin and it was very cold. He searched for anything that would give him a hint where he was but the light that shined above him blinded his vision of the rest of the room, after a few seconds he noticed a woman standing in front of a small window which looked into the depths of the Omega-58 system. "Who are you, and where am I?" Stefan asked completely confused, his vision seemed kind of blurry and so he only saw a silhouette, the woman turned over to him. "Ah, Herr Hofmann, I see you woke up, it is me, Fylgja, you sure do remember." The woman said and stood at the foot end of the table where she could look Stefan in the eyes. "This is not what I expected when you wanted to show me your machine!" He said angrily. Her face was totally calm and she even smiled a little bit over his aggression. "Why not? I didn't say how it looked like, did I? You soon will understand what I mean and then you will also understand what it means to work for the Leibgarde, Stefan." She said and turned to the window again, looking out of it as she did before. "No way I am working for you if you keep me in this torture cell!" He responded, trying to sound very confident over his words. "Oh, you already did, and there is no way back, Stefan, you know that you made your choice and we made ours, your recruitment has already been set, the only thing I need from you, is your body." She said slowly and turned around again. She walked around him and ended up on his head side where she looked down at him, he looked very confused over her words and didn't know how to sort this. "My ... body? What for?" He asked carefully. "You will be the hull of one of us and do the tasks we give you, you will be part of Kanzler Niemann's Leibwache, forever." She said and grinned at him. Suddenly, Stefan was clear where he was and what he had to deal with. "Verdammt, you're one of those wild guard remnants from the War! I should have known it, my headaches kept me from thinking clearly, and now I will pay for it ... " He said and closed his eyes, expecting to die any second. She started to laugh. "If we wanted you dead, I could have shot you the moment I saw your wreck in space, nein, you are worth more than another kill, you will have the highest honor of all, you will be serving." She said with a dark echo of her voice. "For your own good, I will do you a little favor." She took out a blindfold and wrapped it around his face so he couldn't see what was going on. Terrifying sounds came from her and Stefan could only see how something slowly came closer to him, followed by his scream. Approximately 1 minute later ... silence.
