Liberty Marines Banner and Logos - suppy - 04-01-2018 Howdy! I'm looking to commission a set of three forum image pieces for a possible upcoming Liberty Marines MEU mini-faction. I have three particular requests: 1. A banner, based off of the USMC flag, ideally with Earth replaced with Planet Manhattan, and "UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS" replaced with "LIBERTY MARINE CORPS" 2. A logo as a "header" for posts based off of the EGA, like how the SIS emblem shows up. Based off of this. It will be part of a dual header with the LN emblem, but you don't need to worry about that. As with 1, should read LIBERTY MARINE CORPS, and Manhattan in place of Earth if at all possible. 3. A logo as a "footer" for posts, basically an invert of this, in the same fashion as the LN emblem at the bottom of this post. No need for USMC/LMC text at the bottom, Manhattan in place of Earth if at all possible, if not it's no biggie. Thanks so much ahead of time! RE: Liberty Marines Banner and Logos - suppy - 04-01-2018 Just to clarify, if imitating the emblem style on the globe in the EGA isn't possible to pull off on Manhattan while also looking good, it's not that much of a problem (although I would pay more for that!). Either option is reasonable, that an LMC would replace the globe with their new homeworld, or keep the old one out of a sense of heritage. RE: Liberty Marines Banner and Logos - mayu20 - 04-01-2018 I would suggest to draw inspiration from the USM flag, from a Role Play perspective that flag is 900 years old, and considering Liberty sleeper ship was not composed of only US citizens I doubt they would choose the same design. I always wanted to do a Marines logo for Discovery, I might give it a try later this day with a design that would resemble Discovery universe and what the marines that would "land" and "board" space ships instead of shores and naval ships. I would happily consider any permutation of the request. On the other hand, I think that if any organization were to stubbornly maintain outdated aspects of tradition and insignia, it would absolutely be the Marines. You can make one if you really want to, but Gallia doesn't have enough players who arn't also BAF, but Liberty currently has a 5th fleet, a 3rd fleet, a 1st fleet, a 6th fleet, and a 66th fleet, all of whom are RP'd Liberty Navy organisations. Unlawfuls in Liberty face a problem wherin 7+ liberty navy battleships log in the moment any major unlawful activity shows face, creating absurd uphill gameplay situations. Your choice, of course - although I'd consider flying an enemy of Liberty rather than Liberty itself. You'll have more encounters and you'll be doing your part to make the Server feel as if it extends beyond the New York, Texas, and California Systems. I have LH, KNF, and GRN pilots up and from those perspectives I have come to a similar conclusion as you have. I've already written up the faction infopage in drafts, and it's certainly not going to be your regular LN faction. It's smaller, more focused on freighters and snubs, no caps bigger than a LABC, and much more "expeditionary" (i.e. go out and touch beyond Liberty). What I want it to be is a focused, lore-rich mini-faction that can serve as an example to new players or inexperienced indies for good Liberty RP. Trust me, it's not just another numbered fleet.
