Is there an RP reason for it or was there just a dev that didn't like it? RE: Rename Colonge back to Koeln - JorgeRyan - 04-23-2018 +1 Unnecessary and just seems like it'll confuse players who are used to the old name. RE: Rename Colonge back to Koeln - E X O D I T E - 04-23-2018 I think someone on the devteam is just teasing @Neraxon I don't know how to feel about this. RE: Rename Colonge back to Koeln - SkyNet - 04-23-2018 Yes. Revert it back to Koeln pls. RE: Rename Colonge back to Koeln - Antonio - 04-23-2018 It was either changing Köln to Cologne or changing Munich to München in order to have everything named in 1 language. Devs chose the former seeing as all other systems also have English names (Burgundy instead of Bourgogne, Picardy instead of Picardie, etc.). Nothing wrong with that, it could've gone either way. It makes more sense to continue naming systems in English than to start changing the system name convention now. RE: Rename Colonge back to Koeln - Eichy Bumm - 04-23-2018 Cologne is the French spelling of Koeln. "Cologne", the French version of the city's name, has become standard in English as well. If this was in Gallia, fine. Cologne would do. But it is not. It is in Rhineland and therefore is authentic to call it Koeln. Stuff up needs to be fixed. Why does it have to be in the English version Antonio? Surely, using the same argument then all NPC's should be speaking English (with an American accent) |
