United Hope Foundation - Deep Space Engineering - 06-21-2018 UNITED HOPE FOUNDATION
Welcome to the United Hope Foundation, a center for people formally held as slaves.
United Hope Foundation is a private, non-profit corporation primarily funded by Deep Space Engineering located on Planet Pittsburgh. We provide each Client, a secure environment to recover from the issues such as post traumatic stress syndrome, refugee displacement, being held as a slave, and narcotic addictions. Accommodation, clothing, meals, hygiene products, access to communication and entertainment devices and transportation are provided within the course. Our treatment philosophy is to provide evidenced based services to our consumers/clients in the least restrictive setting in a culturally appropriate and recovery-oriented manner. This philosophy has led to the full integration of our mental health and substance abuse services and the training of all our clinical providers in the core competencies of suicide risk assessment, motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy. We also have a full range of medical facilities to treat most accidents, emergencies, and injuries. We deliver trauma informed care in recognition that trauma is a major precursor of formally being held as a slave. Recovery is the goal of all treatment because it maximizes our consumers' internal and external resources and fosters dignity and hope. Your visit here is the first step on the journey to recovery and rehabilitation for yourself, a relative, friend, neighbor or co-worker. RECOVERY Our daily treatment program consists of a variety of skill building groups, general activities, small therapy groups, community meetings, physical and recreational activities, various types of outings, passes and special events. Clients are usually seen by their psychiatrist a minimum of three times a week. All of these treatment modalities are integrated into our therapeutically directed community.
The basic daily schedule includes both structured and unstructured time. Structured groups provide skills development and formal treatment. Unstructured time encourages and allows clients to develop leisure time skills and pursuit of individual interests in preparation for return to a less structured setting. Once the psychiatrist is happy with the clients progress, they will be sent to a respite house, to encourage independent living. Budget adviser's will teach the client how to support themselves, and help them find work and a suitable home, Family history consultants and a well equip communications center will help the client find their family, and a team of United Hope Foundation's staff will provide the opportunity to find a hobby. There will be a team of support people located at each respite house, and the Client will be seen by them at least once a week depending on their progress. After the Client has recovered to the point the support people are happy to let them leave the facility, they will be sent home to either the accommodation that was found in the respite house program, or to the care of a family member. There is an outpatient team that will visit the client once a month for a year to ensure there are no problems adjusting to their new life RESPITE ACCOMMODATION
