Nauru feedback - Tenacity - 12-27-2018 So, as one of my first major contributions to the core|, I've been doing a lot of work on planet Nauru in an attempt to flesh out the world's lore and history. I've taken what little information exists in the infocards, and expanded that into what I hope is a more rich and interesting chunk of lore, incorporating both my own ideas and perspectives as well as those of other players invested in the region. This began with the personal logs of dr. Eva Strauss, one of my core/apm scientists, titled expedition: Nauru https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=165992 It continued with a community forum-based translation event. I had hoped for a greater number of people to participate, but it was still successful thanks to a few devoted forumlancers, all of whom now have their character names tied to the rp. This event was intended to spark some curiosity and interest in the story by providing little bits of narrative over time, like pieces of a puzzle https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=166176 Finally, I compiled all of the previous work into a thesis-style post intended to be an in-rp information sheet regarding the history of Nauru. This thesis ends with potential future ramifications regarding the planet. https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=166896 Now, this wasn't all done just for a fancy read, I intend to continue this work via ingame additions, permitting developer approval. I would like everyone's feedback up to this point, however, and if you have any ideas or suggestions on how this should proceed into three future im open to them. At the moment, there are plans for new commodities as well as a potential new equipment line stemming from Nauru. RE: Nauru feedback - Kiny0 - 12-28-2018 Honestly, I loved the community event. I agree, it's a shame that it did not attract more people into it, but it was nicely done nonetheless. |
