Hello everyone! Just coming back from a long hiatus of work and travel and I decided to revisit my favorite game and community. So as I am reading through all the lore changes that occurred while I was gone I have decided to make a pirate/unlawful Gallic character. However I don't see any official factions to join that fulfill this description and the unofficial ones are a bit confusing- mainly I see a discrepancy between what is posted on the official "unofficial factions list" and the faction status page. So which unlawful Gallic player faction that is at least somewhat active could you recommend for me?
P.S.: I still haven't recovered my previous skype credentials and on this note if there is anyone from Hellfire who remembers me, give me a PM and we could meet up in NY for a coffee or just pew at LN like the good old days.

[VC] is a quite active Maquis faction but Gallia is pretty dead so a very few people flying there

The Gallic Royal Enclave is technically unlawful by Gallic standards. They're like the Hellfire of Gallia by now, I imagine... with the ability to pirate levy taxes in the name of the King. You even have two pseudo-lawful factions to choose from: \*/~ and MdG/. If you're looking for more conventional unlawfuls, then the Voltaire Collective (Maquis) that Groshyr brought up is the only active faction I'm aware of. I see random Gallic Brigands online at times, but that's it. I would've made my own Brigand group, but I'm too busy with \*/~ as it is.
P.S. People have mostly moved on from Skype to Discord these days. Feel free to hop into \*/~Enclave Discord if you're involved with Gallia in any way.
P.P.S. Don't believe Groshyr about Gallia being dead though. You still get GMS and random people from Sirius to pirate. I just intercepted a Cryer a couple of days ago.

I saw your post earlier on and that is why I am a bit confused. When you open the faction status (activity) page it lists the most active factions as Gallic traders/law enforcement. How is that possible in conjunction with Gallia being dead? Either some of the info is wrong or I am not understanding something correctly.

PN| is flying around without a real purpose (my apologies to PN| members but that's what I have seen), GMS| just enjoying by trading. Enclave is more active than Gallia but they need enemies. However, iirc Maquis and Gallic Brigands have zoi in taus so you can make one and interact to the Enclave

Thank you for the detailed information. I have never had a Gallic character, but I am looking forward to it and I'd like to see what the Enclave are all about. Will PM shortly.

I've seen plenty of MdG/ around. I got pirated- levied by them a few days ago in Cambridge.
