Your royalist counterparts reached out to us, seeking a deal for humanitarian aid, under the impression they could leverage Cryer like any of their own national corporations.

They were wrong.

Since they were wrong, naturally, we approach their competition. In the provided communications the Kaiserreich they threatened legal sanctions for not fulfilling the contract after continuing to assert that a price of 200,000,000-250,000,000 SC was more than enough for the operation they request. This, to any sane and reasonable man both inside and outside of the realm of economics is a wholly unreasonable, and foolhardy decision, particularly given Cryer's position as the largest manufacturer of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment in the sector. As such, we want to ask:

How can we help?

Ultimately, the loss of New Berlin as a market exchange will have negative repercussions on quarterly profits, if not notably affect them across the board, and since we are no longer outright supplying both sides of the conflict as a neutral third party, we wish to further solidify relations with the Federalist government-in-exile. This would primarily, at least at the time of this comm reaching your Minister, take the form of
  • Logistical Assistance
  • Research and Information Sharing
  • Medical/Research Facility Construction and Staffing
  • Our full cooperation on projects that do not harm bodies outside of, and/or not directly pertaining to Rheinland (ex. Kusari, the Core, Liberty)

We cannot outright fire on Imperial assets, and our position with them legality-wise is currently "in the air," so to speak. Thus, we wish to open the door to assisting primarily through mutual cooperation. Any participation from our security assets will continue to be for the purpose of self-defense and defense of Cryer assets until things escalate further.

We look forward to hearing from you.

To whom it may concern;

Director Berkins, I am Leonie Karadeniz, interim foreign minister for the Rheinland United Republic, the democratic state aiming to represent the will of the people of Rheinland.

We are saddened by the conduct of our Imperial counterparts. The hubris of a handful of would-be nobles will result in the suffering of untold numbers of our citizens, and the livelihoods of countless people under the employment of your Rheinland branch.

At our very core, we reject the imperialist and aggressive overreach of governments over the people and their right to free enterprise - and we are not short sighted enough to believe that bullying businesses into instant-gratification gains will outpace the long-term prosperity of a mutually beneficial and enriching relationship between government and business.
It is not our place or practice to demand or threaten, but to gladly accept your generous offer of help and hope that we can repay you with the wealth yielded by the market of a happy, healthy, and grateful Federal Rheinland.

If you wish to help us, we request the following:

1: Cryer reconsiders dissolving the Rheinland branch, and instead moving the regional headquarters to Planet Weimar in Thuringia. We can provide facilities and incentives to ensure that continued Cryer Rheinland operations remain safe and as financially and logistically viable as possible so that essential services can continue.

2: Cryer provides a line of subsidized credit with a delayed interest rate to be negotiated, so that we may maintain a steady supply of critical pharmaceuticals, facility access, and medical staffing necessary to continue the war effort - while a mutually acceptable payment plan to allows us to gradually pay off what we cannot pay for outright.

3: Cryer lobbies on behalf of the Rheinland United Republic for the Liberty government to favorably consider granting a special economic zone status to the RUR, to the effect of strengthening economic and aid ties between our Republics and our constituent businesses.

While our immediate access to funds and resources are currently limited by the war to preserve our democracy, we are eager to discuss what we can offer in return so that we can forge a strong and mutually beneficial relationship.

Leonie Karadeniz, Foreign Minister
Rheinland Federal Interim Government, Rheinland United Republic

Migrating to Planet Weimar will more be a case of asset redistribution, given that alongside employee layoffs we are also in the process of moving equipment off-planet. We cannot carry over our staff from New Berlin or Stuttgart, or Hamburg due to the territory being legally imperial. I doubt they would support the migration of their worker base to their direct opposition. On the topic of lobbying for Rheinlandic interests, so long as it remains strictly economic, then we agree to the proposition.

Otherwise, there will be an initial lack of output from our planetside facilities on Weimar, as moving the quantity of equipment taken from a nation's capital planet to another is not an expedient process. Expect it to pick up as we accumulate workers from the United Republic's civilian population, and as foreign workers under our employ move in.

Regarding the fiscal aspect of things, 2,200 credits per unit, with a 2% interest rate that takes effect one month after a given contract completion? We are open to further negotiation on the topic.

We apologize for the delayed response, as this has been a subject of much internal discussion among both our accounting department and our board of directors.
