Just getting started - Syncriel - 10-13-2020
Hi all,
Long time Elite player, somehow I cannot quite believe that I never played Freelancer.
So here I am making up for lost time.
Just started to play discovery, and I am very impressed.

I hope you will get yourself familiar with Server Rules, and probably some House Play Rules would not hurt too.Reading tutorials is useful, at least main ones. Asking questions in Helping Channel at the main discord server is good thing to do too.
Some helping tools like flstat and flcompanion could be handy with wingman

Hi there,
So how did I find out about Freelancer?
I started to roam about the Net looking for games like ED, in an attempt to scratch that space itch until the next expansion lands next year. Settled on Rebel Galaxy Outlaw, got into that for a while then did a little research into where its game style came from.
A few posts later, I was convinced to bag a copy of Freelancer from ebay 'to put on the shelf' a dozen or so mods later to get the shiny factor high, and 20 hours in SP, I started to explore MP mods & found Discovery.
Mod install was perfect, very slick and easy to use. Coming from the software and App Dev world, congrats.
All in all, I must admit. The game play and fluidity of controls is epic. I was expecting it to be akin to games like Star Point Gemini 2, buts its controls are spot on.

Welcome, i hope you'll have a great time here
Don't be shy to ask questions, Freelancer discovery can get very complicated at places
Also don't be afraid to join any player factions, sometimes it's the best way to get aquianted with all this stuff.
