Hello its my fisrt time here been playing vanilla since it came out until about 2 weeks ago when i discovered all this.
Everything is very new so all the help is gladly welcome.

For starters, give Server Rules a good read, or more than one good reads.
Other than that, make sure you know what ID you have on your character at all times - you are expected to 1) Play to that ID and 2) Follow the extra 'rules' that are written in every ID.
