Official Report:

787 - 800 A.S.

Faced with an ever-increasing number of Bundschuh, Hessian and even pirate attacks by the closing decades of the 700s, first in the nearby Border Worlds and Independent Worlds, but then also within the Core Regions of Hamburg and Frankfurt, going as far as New Berlin, the Military became increasingly aware that the present status quo would not last for long at such a rate. With the ascension of Chancellor Niemann to near absolute power, plans were drafted up after talks with Daumann and Kruger representatives to construct a fleet unseen before in Rheinland and even Sirius itself; their purpose, to secure "Rheinland's borders and the security of its citizens".

The rapid pace at which these plans were put into action, however, meant that the hulls constructed lagged behind their modern counterparts in both combat capabilities but also overall designs -- Niemann's fleet was, at large, made up of old, 80 Years War-era hull designs, retrofitted to mount a plethora of weaponry. One such hull was christened the RNC Einbeck and launched from the docks of Oder Shipyard in 787. It was to receive a brand new batch of graduates, from the officer core under command of one Fynn Meyer, a proud Stuttgart man from a farmers' family, and all the way down to the scores of marines stationed on-board. Only a few years worth of training missions truly stood between them and their first true "combat mission".

When that time came, however, it was not combat that they would get to see, rather, the RNC Einbeck was ordered to Frankfurt on a "special assignment" in the Westerwald. For some months at the end of 799 A.S., it remained there overseeing the construction of a grand shipyard, housing never before heard-of ships. Indeed, this special assignment now bore the fruits of success in a twist of fate; the RNC Einbeck came, together with the rest of the elements stationed in Frankfurt as part of the Northern Rheinland Fleet, under the complete control of the so-called Nomads and was refitted, by December, with seemingly alien equipment.

Colony Wars (800-801 A.S.)

The new overlords of the Northern Rheinland Fleet -- and by and large, of Rheinland as a whole by 800 A.S. -- now turned their gaze outward towards Kusari. It was here that the RNC Einbeck, marching first into Sigma-13 with such surprise that even the veterans of oh-so-many nebulae skirmishes, the GMG, were overwhelmed and forced to fall back, and then into Honshu, with the vanguard of the Northern Fleet, struck its first victories. At the behest of Chancellor Niemann, Rheinland was to invade and crush Kusari's defenders for daring to stage attacks on Rheinland shipping and for their attempt to gather forces "beyond the Honshu jump gate", as the Ministry of Truth so well put it.

The Nomad control over their infested forces, however, slowly withered away, first through the defeat of major forces of the Western Fleet, then by the death of high-importance thralls, such as Lord Tekagi and Chancellor Niemann and finally due to The Order's intervention together with an elite group of former LSF and freelancers in the Omicrons. As fast as they assumed total control over Rheinland and many other crucial figures on the political stage of Sirius, the Nomads suffered a catastrophic defeat when the hypergate in Omicron Major was activated, effectively cutting the hivemind into many, localized, ones. Such was the end of the line for many of the former thralls, with most turning back to their homes and families.

Unto Uncharted Lands (801 A.S.-Present Day)

Or so the officials records end. The reality was that, much to the displeasure and misfortune of the newly-formed Rheinland Provisional Government, the Nomads and by extend, the vast majority of Niemann's fanatical forces, would not follow any orders to return home. In what remains one of the most significant events in Sirius' history, the entirety of the Rheinland Northern Fleet mutinied -- in reality, the collapse of the Nomad Mainshare paved the way for the formation of localized mindshares, amongst which that of the Northern Rheinland Fleet was the strongest yet, though it took years to truly reunify all the splintered cells in Sigmas and Rheinland -- against the Provisional Government and fled into the Omegas, effectively "disarming" the entire border of Rheinland with Dresden, Frankfurt and Sigmas.

Their newfound home would be Omega-58, a system far enough away from inhabited space but yet still close enough to allow for an eventual return to Rheinland. Coincidentally, this system was also picked due to its status in many aeons past -- one of a gateway hub for the Dam K'vosh, housing a multitude of gates.

It would be these very gates that would shape both the Einbeck and the Northern Fleet's future, for they planned to reactivate them one-by-one and turn them into a network reaching as far as Rheinland but also Omicron Iota at the same time. The lengthy period of time spent here, truthfully, cannot be described as a single unit; instead, The Wild made twofold plans: firstly, they would restart raids across the Omegas using the large cruiser force at their disposal but also a new type of ship, Scorpion drones, to gather new manpower and resources; so brutal were these raids that, to Rheinland, they became known as Die Wilde Jagd -- or "The Wild Hunt". Secondly, they would work towards reactivating one of the gates in Omega-58 using a Power Cell aboard the RNC Fenrir, a Rheinland battleship, with the intention to make their return to Rheinland in force.

By 816, this latter part was almost complete and The Wild ordered the official splinter of their forces into two groups: one stationed aboard Kaarst and operating throughout the Omegas and Sigmas and another which regrouped around the gate in Omega-58 that was being powered up. Unfortunately for them, however, these preparations backfired when the Power Cell's massive energy was mishandled, allowing for the formation of a singularity. The energy discharge from the activation instantly destroyed the bulk of the Northern Fleet, leaving only those in the deep Omegas and those aboard Kaarst as survivors. To many, this was another "end of the road" in the story of The Wild.

The failure to activate the gate and the subsequent destruction of almost all capital assets tied The Wild Hunt's hands behind its own back, as the saying goes, and forced it to yet again craft new ideas. Still, the biggest loss was not the fleet itself -- ships can be rebuild, as can voidforms, given enough time -- but the complete collapse of jump holes leading in and out of the system. This meant that the mindshare was effectively split yet again, part in Omegas, the other in 58, aboard Kaarst itself. By cannibalizing the now-vast graveyard that the system had turned into and by combining alien technology with that of the humans, reducing both the energy signatures and overall usage of, The Wild planned to make yet another return, but this time to the Omegas instead, some time in the distant future.

The RNC Einbeck would wait for this distant future, a matter which has yet to realize, and work towards navigating the power vacuum left in the wake of the fall of various Wild mindnodes, eventually "climbing" to control its own within The Wild Hunt as a whole. Long-term plans align with those of The Wild of Kaarst, though as a temporary measure, the Donau too was subjected to retrofitting with hybrid shielding and thrusters in an attempt to enhance its capabilities. Only time will tell if these would be the precursors to greater schemes, but one thing was clear: the Einbeck was here to stay.

RNC Einbeck Notable Personnel

Fynn Wolfgang Meyer
Rank: Fregattenkapitän, Die Wilde Jagd
Gender: Male
Place of Birth: Planet Stuttgart
Health: Alive; Health condition unknown

Born in 762 in a family with a long-standing military tradition, he studied to become an officer in the Rheinland Military. Graduated at 18 years of age, he rose quickly through the ranks and despite his unusual aggressiveness on the battlefield he was a succesful commander.

After he received the rank of executive officer for the RNC Einbeck, his ability to lead small-scale attacks aided the Rheinland Military greatly against the growing Unioner and Hessian forces. With the infiltration of the Nomads in 799 AS amongst the Rheinland Military, they aimed for the upper echelons of the military and thus the Einbeck's command structure, and later crew, became one of the many that formed the initial cell of The Wild within Rheinland.

He was sent to Sigma-13 and Honshu during Rheinland's attack on Kusari, however with the defeat of the Nomads, he gathered the remaining crew of other vessels aboard his and set course for Omega-55. The next years were be uneventful at best, with most time spent on Kaarst Drydock for repairs.

Felix Schmidt
Rank: Kapitänleutnant, Die Wilde Jagd
Gender: Male
Place of Birth: Planet New Berlin
Health: Alive; Health condition unknown

Born in a wealthy family, Felix admired the Military from a young age. Having graduated from the Military Academy in 792 as a disciplined commander, he too rose through the ranks quick, much alike Fynn. As the Einbeck was tasked with an increasing number of dangerous tasks by the Military's High Command, they looked to take new people under their unit's banner, and Felix was one of them. During the Nomad War, he served in the invasion of Kusari, however, as with the rest of Einbeck's task group, he has been declared as missing in action.

Sofia Ilse
Rank: Technical Officer, Die Wilde Jagd
Gender: Female
Place of Birth: Planet Hamburg
Health: Alive; Health condition unknown

One of the few female crewmembers of the Einbeck, Sofia was born on Planet Hamburg during a time of frequent Unioner raids. She joined the Military at 20 years of age and became a technical officer several years later. Her first assignment was on a small "Oder"-class Gunboat, yet it became evident that was not the right place for such a skilled officer. As such, in 795, she was assigned to the RNC Einbeck as the ship's technical officer and overseer of the logistical needs of the strike group.

Ludwig Werner
Rank: Agent, MND (covertly part of Die Wilde Jagd)
Gender: Male
Place of Birth: Planet New Berlin
Health: Alive; Healthy

Ludwig was among the small number of MND agents who were sent with the Einbeck into Kusari. His main task was intelligence gathering, one at which he was an expert in. Using the acquired data, much of the Kusari forces could easily be by-passed or encircled. Ludwig's past is not a notable one, as he was born on New Berlin in a destitute family. He joined the MND as an military intelligence agent and assisted many of the Military's forces during and after the Nomad War. Despite serving into the now-missing Einbeck battlegroup, he survived the Great Purge and continued his work as an MND agent. Recently, he was re-assigned from his post in Thuringia to Hamburg, as the Military prepares for future operations in this region.
