Smallest Settlement on Planet Erie Goes Silent, Special Forces Suspected |
| Planet Erie - Pennsylvania The smallest settlement on Planet Erie, known as New Hope, went silent earlier today. The settlement is noted as being the smallest with a daily spaceport flight off world. It is also just a two hour flight away from the Capital City of Planet Erie. Authorities have not been able to make contact with anyone in New Hope since early this morning. All attempts to reach the settlement by radio, phone, or email have gone unanswered. A local militia has been dispatched to the area to investigate. However, they have been unable to gain access to the settlement due to heavy resistance from unknown forces. It is suspected that a Special Forces unit has secured the settlement in preparation for a land invasion. However, there is no confirmation of this at this time. The government has issued a statement urging citizens to remain calm and to cooperate with the militia. They have also stated that they are working to resolve the situation as quickly as possible.
