How did Disoc change the Version number? - Kazinsal - 04-16-2010 Okay, I actually know the answer to this one... It's the Freelancer.exe (and FLServer.exe) file version. The original was... 1.0.0.251 or something like that. Disco's is 4.85.3.some other number. If you had hacked it to be 4.85.4, you wouldn't be able to play on the server, which runs 4.85.3. Only the major and minor version numbers (in this case, 4.85) show up in the server list, but the release and build effect the server's version and who can connect. TL;DR: It's the exe file's version. |
