I know, the Order Carrier is not really a super combat ship, but still it should be able to fight Battleships at long range.
Now to the problem, the four heavy cruiser turret slot, can only shot forward, which is a bit stupid.
It would be cool to have at least, 2 turrets with the ability to shot forward and backward.
I know, it exist a few turret slots with 180-360 degree and I guess, it is not a problem to switch with them.
Edit: I don't have a Light Carrier, so np for me.

It is a terrible ship except for doing great carrier RP. I have one, the turret arcs usually cause issues.

Never had this ship... but if it cannot shoot it's Lvl7 backwards, then I have one, simple question for whoever was balancing it.
How do you fight battleships with that thing? Face to face? ....

It shouldn't really be able to fight BS's at long range, it should do its job, which is carrying, which is why it should (or does it?) have a larger cargo bay so it can have more docking modules.
The Liberty Carrier has 2k cargo hold...

It is BC class not BC class. So it should not be fighting 1 on 1 with BS's. Drop bombers,and stay away.

like, it should be totally helpless against incoming BSes? "Die or Run" ? C'mon, no rearshooting mortar? Show me a cruiser/BC that doesn't have it.
..and have you seen the SIZE of that "BC"? hitting it with BS primaries/mortars isn't harder then to hit a light BS...
Or devs made it useless in defensive stance agains incoming BSes on purpose? Since, if OP is right, it looks like that...

Geb it's more like a support ship against capital ships spamming mortars on it. Don't forget you got 3.6 mil energy and a rate of regeneration up to 170.000
This ship should not be flying alone.
It can also nom nom other cruisers by tank'n spank
But afterall this ship it's based more as a mobile RP platform same like with the Liberty Carrier.

But it is still strange, why it doesn't have any backfiring heavy slot.
It is a RP ship, but still FL is a shooter and sometimes you get in a combat situation and what now then?
Dieing because you can't fire any Mortars back? I guess, no one would construct such a useless vessel.
A little note:
Yes it sucks already, but it would be no work to switch at least two slots.

Liberty Carrier has always had 2k cargo hold.
