    Areas of Interest

    Nebulae

    Mer Méditerranée

Mer Méditerranée is a massive blue nebula comprised primarily of methane and water ice. The tiny part of the cloud that touches Provence often changes shape as it is affected by the gravitational forces in the system.

The extremely slow but constant changes in this portion of the nebula have become a major tourism market in Gallia known as "Cloud watching".

    Asteroid Fields

    Vaccares Asteroid Belt

A dense field of asteroids, believed to be a small moon or planet that broke apart during Provence's formation. Once rich in rare minerals, the field has long since been depleted of any feasible quantity of ore.

    Camargue Dust Field

A rather compact field of dust and small asteroids, the Camargue Dust Field is held in tight orbit of Planet Marseille and regularly trawled by the Gallic Metal Service's Toulon installation. Many of the small rocks and compacted dust within the field contain extremely rare metals and minerals, making the efforts of the GMS - and the illicit miners that they have tried repeatedly to stop - more than worth the trouble it takes to collect such miniscule returns.
