Built with the Coalition mindset of utilitarian reliability and asymmetric warfare, the Storm is an autonomous reconnaissance ship, capable of operating deep within hostile space. It is sometimes used to screen larger Coalition ships as part of a battle fleet, but more often hunts without fleet support, either alone or in packs with other gunboats. When employed in such a way, these ships are feared for being able to locate, isolate and tear apart much larger enemy warships.
Designed by Aralsk Research Division, the original Storm chassis has been in service for a long time, being constantly refined and upgraded so as to continue to serve the Coalition.
