"SURIEL" Laser Cannon
SURIEL is a laser cannon developed by a Liberty Rogue engineer named Ivy Sorrell. The Rogues have always been known for weapons that sacrifice efficiency for greater power, but Sorrell's design was extreme even by their standards: The power calibration is so excessively imbalanced that the laser's lens alignment warps during firing, resulting in inaccurate fire. SURIEL requires constant maintenance and even when cared for properly, the weapon's lifespan is short even by Rogue standards. Finding no love for her design among her fellow pirates, Sorrell left Buffalo for the Barrier with her prototypes in early 828. She was never heard from again.
