"Triplette" Multi-Shot Cannon
The "Triplette" is a multi-shot dispersion cannon that fires three projectiles simultaneously. It was the result of a Council development program prior to the Second Gallic War, with the aim of producing a weapon that would give fresh, unskilled recruits better hit chances, by virtue of its widened shot pattern. Though the prototypes showed promise, setting up mass production was deemed too costly and the project was scrapped at the outbreak of the conflict. The fate of the prototype blueprints is unknown, but following the chaos of the Council's offensive that ultimately ended the war, a number of functional examples have started appearing.
