A-HPC-400 "Mangonel" Technocracy Battleship Primary Turret
Aptly named after an ancient siege engine, The "Mangonel" was a fixed-arm weapon designed to lob heavy projectiles at long ranges against heavy targets and fortifications. The modern adaptation of the name follows a similar philosophy in terms of power and ease of construction. This turret was designed for use as a Primary Battery on Battleship and Dreadought classed vessels. The hard-hitting Manongel retains its versatility, however much like its namesake it's not very effective against mobile and small targets.
